Our coach had a lovely welcome from the manager. It's clean comfortable and very friendly. Room 205 is lovely with a great view the only problem is the noise from the entertainment and bingo I heard every lyric and number. A special thank you to Gemma who was a great sport teasing her over the meringues

Second time we've stayed here. Right on the sea front. Smart and spotless. Staff that actually care if you have a good experience. English breakfast was good. The wife had the cold meats and cheese, proper Yorkshire ham. Stopped in the bar on Friday night, with a turn that was amazing. We will be back.

Basically this hotel is OK Not situated in the most enviable position for the less mobile as it is a little way out of town Our room was clean and comfortable and it looked like it had been updated The food fell into two halves, breakfast was OK but dinner was a bit hit and miss. If you like carrots then this is the place for you but they come in big chunks, so perhaps not Also the chef doesn't like peeling potatoes, which I just find lazy and one evening they were billed as crushed potatoes which meant they were mashed with the skins on, so I got fed up picking the skins out but you get what you pay for. Staff were very good and the manager is quite friendly. Sorting the standard of food out would be a great improvement

Absolutely FANTASTIC hotel. Just got back from a stay there (part of an Alfa coach trip) and everything from our fantastic driver (Andy) through our welcome from Alex and the great staff from start to finish was just .... sorry I have to use the word again - fantastic. My room (303) was gorgeous - brilliant sea-view - and although I paid the single-supplement - it was well worth it. You just can't get better value for money. The whole place was spotless, the meals really good, nothing was too much trouble. The location is very good too - just a 5-10 minute walk into Bridlington for the shops (quite impressed with Bridlington town centre - neat an tidy - and quite a bit bigger than I imagined it would be). We did take a trip out to the 'old' town - and I have to say - this was a bit of a disappointment - it really just amounted to one street. The Priory was great though and made the trip there worthwhile (I'm being a bit harsh really as maybe on a summer day the old town is fab). Back on topic though - the Monarch Hotel can't be rated high enough as far as I'm concerned.

This will have been our 3rd annual trip and we won't be returning. The price has increased (we were advused this was bwcausw of the refurbished rooms REALLY!!! and the accommodation cleanliness and new management have deteriorated. The rooms are absolutely disgusting see the pictures they speak for themselves. The last photo is the best that's my window classed as having a sea view room!!!

5 day break at Monarch via Alfa Travel. The Staff at this Hotel were exceptional, they genuinely care about their Guests and we spoke to afew repeat guests which speaks volumes. The location is perfect with access to the Beautiful Promenade and Beach and Town Centre just a 10 minutes walk. Never been with Alfa before but would highly recommend as I would the Monarch

We were allocated room 402 and quite frankly it was a health and safety nightmare, large open cracks in ceiling, black mould, bathroom floor yellow stained, badly stained bath, rusty handrail, toilet tipped up when sat on, carpet threadbare, no wardrobe just a musty cupboard. Was thankfully allocated an upgraded room on 2nd day which was much better but not clean. Hygiene issues in dining room, tables dirty floor dirty, cutlery and crockery dirty and had hairs in most meals. Came back from a trip on last day and someone had been through our wardrobe and drawers. Nothing taken but not the point. Sewage smell emanating constantly from lift shaft. Lots of issues need addressing
