The Brunswick Hotel

A good base & well located at the top end of Bridlington, about a 5 mins walk from the nearest beach. Welcoming staff; rooms with en-suite bathrooms; very comfortable bed; tea/coffee making facilities; free WiFi; remote control tv; small selection of toiletries available, etc. And well priced if truth be told. Live entertainment and karaoke on most days of the week in the downstairs bar area - although I don't recall hearing any noise after say, 11.30 pm/midnight during my 2 night-stay. Granted, no breakfast is offered in the price, however, there are more than ample near-by cafes/eateries that offer a wide selection of breakfast/brunch options. You won't go hungry as such! Within 10-15 mins walking distance of the Bridlington Spa (i.e. dance hall, theatre and conference centre) as well.

huge thank you to Jez ....it was my 1st break away with my dog so only booked couple of nights but ended up staying 5 nights. Jez sorted parking permit straight away so I wasn't panicking about getting a ticket. Full English breakfast even my dog had breakfast sausage every morning.Lovely hot shower and bed was more comfy than I expected. the pros out numbered the cons so definitely will be staying again.
Oakwell Guest House

Just got back from a lovely break at Oakwell. Stayed for 3 nights with my mum and nephew my parents and nephew have stayed there regularly with the last owners and continued as regulars since. My dad was not able to join us this year so we stayed in the Family Room on the first floor with a double bed and bunk beds with en-suite. You cannot fault the rooms or service. Clean rooms, slept like a baby on comfy beds with quality bedding and a delicious breakfast which will have you skipping down the stairs each morning. The rooms are well equipped with Wi-Fi, TV and mini fridge and we were provided with a flask of milk to keep in the fridge with Tea and Coffee facilities and biscuits provided daily. Chris and Liz make you feel so welcome nothing is too much trouble even when children have accidents in the room as previously happened with my nephew. I have stayed in Bridlington many times and this is definitely one of the best stays I have had. There was another regular guest staying while we weee there and you can see why. Will definitely be back.
Home and Away Guesthouse Previously the Marina

We stayed at the home and away guest house on Saturday 11th November. Me and my wife had a wonderful stay and Theresa the owner is a wonderful person. From the moment we got there to the moment we left she couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are very nice and the beds are so comfortable plus tea and coffee making facilities plus a mini fridge as well. If you’re looking for a guest house to stay in Bridlington this is the place to stay. We will definitely be back and wouldn’t stay anywhere else now when we come back to Bridlington. Keep up the good work Theresa and see you soon Scott & Wendy Carder
Salt on The Harbour

I stayed at this Hotel when I was in town for a concert. The hotel is not really a hotel - there are rooms above a Chandlers’ supplies shop, and you get the key from the pub/restaurant below. The manager, Ariel, was very nice and welcoming when we arrived. My room was fine - the decor was very dated and I had a view over the carpark, but that wasn’t an issue. The room was equipped with everything you might need - kettle, tea, coffee, ironing board, iron and hairdryer. There was also a very good vertical oscillating fan. However, the bathroom wasn’t very clean. It had obviously not been deep cleaned in a long time - there were yellow limescale circles around the sink’s plug hole, and pink mould on the bath. My friend’s room had cobwebs on the ceiling and her toilet was not clean. On the following day, we needed access to the room throughout the day, and when we realised that our rooms would not be cleaned until the afternoon, we told the housekeeper that we only needed some extra toilet roll and our bins emptied. The housekeeper said no problem. By later in the day, however, that had not been done. I bumped into the housekeeper and asked her for some toilet roll - she gave me a roll but none for my friend. The staircase leading to the rooms was not vacuumed during our stay - the same hairs that were there on Day 1 were there when we left. The front door, which leads to the room, had a dodgy brown stain that clearly nobody had cleaned in ages. Breakfast was fine, and there was a vegan option, there were no pastries, or fruit. The only option was a cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, the table mats weren’t clean, the tables were sticky - everything felt sticky and slightly grimey, even the door to get into the pub/restaurant. We decided to skip breakfast on day two and leave asap. I don’t know if my friend and I were particularly unlucky - we have other friends staying at the Salt during that time, and they didn’t report any issues. I showed one friend the picture of the pink mould in my bath and she was horrified. I wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel, but the place should have been cleaner for £225 for two nights. It’s a shame because the manager was very nice and the location is great.
