We visited overnight on one of the hottest days of the year. Parking was no problem - free and on tarmac in a walled off area just over the road. Parking charges in this resort are in the region of £15 per day. Our room was large and overlooked the Pub Garden with a view of the former station now a restaurant with dining carriages. The room is accessible from the street without going through the bar area but has direct access to the bar and restaurant. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The bedroom was supplied with bottled water, tea and coffee making gadgets. The main feature was an enormous Super King extremely comfortable double bed. Side tables with drawers were provided but hanging space and shelves for clothing were minimalistic but fine for one night. Very large well equipped bathroom with walk in shower and external window was fine. Breakfast was cooked to order and wonderful. Great location.

First the good points .. the room was beautifully decorated ,with good quality bed linen and had everything you needed. I also had an evening meal there which was very nice. Breakfast started too late for me as a business traveller, but I was kindly given some cereal and other bits to take to my room. Two things spoiled my stay. The main one being the green glow from the fire alarm meaning the room was light all night and ruined my sleep. The second was that I had no hot water the following morning and had to have a cold shower. Sadly I would not return due to liking to sleep in the dark, which is a shame as the room was nice.

My wife and I took my 85 year old mother in law to West Bay for a Birthday surprise. We stayed 1 night in the West Bay Hotel. Everything was excellent. We had a warm welcome and fantastic food and drinks. The room was lovely and clean with all the usual facilities. Good parking and easy access to beach. Continental Breakfast in bed was a bonus.

Room was perfect, really comfortable and plenty of space for the 4 of us. More than suitable for a family of 4. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to order. We also had a Sunday roast when we arrived which was really good. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

This was my first stay at this hotel although I frequently visit West Bay. I gather it has recently undergone refurbishment by new owners. My two nights' stay was excellent as I found the West Bay Hotel comfortable, spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. All the staff who looked after me were efficient, welcoming and very friendly. My room was well-equipped and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good (especially the coffee!) and the local beers served in the bar most enjoyable. Its location is central in West Bay and the private parking a godsend in the tourist season. My thanks to Claire and her team and I shall certainly return.

Arrived for a drink early afternoon on Saturday. Lovely staff who were very welcoming, it was a real suntrap so we decided to have lunch. My partner had Sea bass with samphire broccoli pots and it looked wonderful. I had the 'small' burger which was huge and one of the best I have tasted in a long time. The chips were gorgeous and I'm not the biggest fan of chips nicely salted. This is a gem of a place and well worth a visit.

We had a great stay and felt very welcomed by the owners and their staff alike. The rooms were well presented and the location was perfect for us. We really enjoyed being able to get up for an early morning walk on the beach which is a few minutes from the pubs doors. We dined here on one of the evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly dish.
