This hotel has an excellent location, right next to the train and steam train stations. However, the service is strangely poor. Check-in was only allowed until 3 PM, and there was no one to help store luggage; I was just told to drag it to the basement and leave it anywhere, with no guarantee of my safety. Even a guesthouse wouldn't behave like this. The second problem was even more bizarre: the room smelled strongly of urine, there was no air conditioning, and the train tracks could be heard all night with the doors and windows open. This place is not fit for tourism; the overall standard is very poor. For hotels, go to Interlaken. However, the lake view from the entrance is unbeatable.

The hotel was right in front of the station, which was incredibly convenient! The Brienz Rothorn Railway platform was also right there, and I could see people returning from my room window ✨️ The hotel staff were also very kind and helpful.

This hotel is located right in front of the lake and extremely convenient to travel by train and boat. It has a beautiful restaurant and views from the room and restaurant are spectacular and it is a gem to stay at lake Brienz.

We are from Australia and treat everyone with courtesy and respect. The waiter in the morning Breakfast Room was very rude. Can't remember his name. Starte with Y. Tall guy, with a beard, white shirt and black trousers. The coffee machine was not working and the coffee was not hot. So I requested him to make it hot. He said he will do it only for one day but never again. The next day I had the same problem. When I requested him he rudely said NO. It did not take him more than 2 minutes to warm the coffee. But very rude and unhelpful.

Location posted on ******* was Interlaken where we wanted to stay but the hotel is located in Brienz which is 20 minutes by train from Interlaken. Hotel is located right in front of Lake Brienz and train/boat station which is great but its old 2 story building with small rooms and bathroom. Breakfast was good, however no toaster or microwave in breakfast area. SHort staffed, owner was on the counter plus doing everything.

Absolutamente todo. Hotel muy lindo y tradicional, muy bien ubicado, con un buen desayuno, habitación muy cómoda con balcón y una increíble vista al lago. El personal muy amable, tanto del hotel como del restaurante, y la limpieza merece 11 puntos, realmente impecable. Con respecto al restaurante, cenamos dos veces, la primera vez fondue y la segunda una carne con rösti, ambos exquisitos. Volveré a Brienz porque me enamoró el lugar, y me volveré a alojar en el Weisses Kreuz sin dudarlo. Absolutely everything. Very nice and traditional hotel, very well located with a good breakfast, very comfortable room with balcony and an amazing view of the lake. Very friendly staff, both hotel and restaurant, and the cleanliness deserves 11 points, really impeccable. Regarding the restaurant, we dined twice, the first time fondue and the second a meat with rösti, both exquisite. I will return to Brienz because I fell in love with the town, and I will stay at the Weisses Kreuz again without hesitation.
