"We arrived 1pm at the hotel and the reception told us to come back after 2 hrs. However, she suddenly told us there is a room available and gave us the room key immediately hence we were able to check in earlier and rest ealier at our room. We were very happy with their service and prompt arrangement."

"Excellent location a short walk from the station and the town centre. A very traditional hotel. The staff were all excellent. We stayed as a group on part of a tour. We had a room with a balcony the room needed a bit of TLC in a few areas but was good. Bathroom was tiny and anyone tall or a little large will struggle in the shower."

"The hotel is located opposite Brig train station and next to a commercial street, which is convenient for eating and shopping. The room is very clean, the front desk service is very considerate, and there is also a small kettle, which is very convenient. Many European hotels do not have this."

"We were allocated a room in the old part of the hotel which was old fashioned & tired but clean. The beds were comfortable & we requested extra pillows which we received. Tea/coffee making facilities, 1 socket at dresser & more sockets under the bed side lockers, tiny inroom safe which was lockable with a key, told you it was old fashioned, flatscreen tv. Wifi initially poor but did improve. No air con but a fan was available. Ample hanging & shelving space. Soap bar at basin & soap dispenser in the shower which was surrounded by a plastic shower curtain. Decent water pressure. Hairdryer. Breakfast consisted of cereal, boiled eggs, various breads & rolls, hams & cheeses, fruit, good coffee machines. Dinner was independent from the hotel. The food was fine. The worst thing was the really sloooooow service with the 3-course meal taking over 2½ hours, not the fault of the 2 hardworking waitresses, please note, more staff required. Staff were friendly & the owner was open to a bit of banter. Tiny slow lift & steps from pavement into hotel make handling luggage difficult, no porterage. Exit hotel right for Post Office, shops & restaurants. Exit hotel left for trains including the Glacier Express. We were on a Riveria group tour consisting of 50 people on a ½ board basis."

"Picture 12 is the hotel. The other is the appearance. It is warm and retro. It is worth staying. The location is good. It is not far from the train station and in the city center. It is worth staying again. I will choose it again."

"Although it was before check-in time, I waited in the lobby and they showed me to my room as soon as it was ready. Being close to the station, with breakfast included, and a single room at this price in Switzerland, it's excellent value for money. The amenities were good, although I would have liked a kettle, but I think I could have borrowed one if I asked. They also lent me a Swiss adapter since I didn't have one."

"The room was clean and spacious. I entered the correct information during self-check-in, but it was rejected several times. Since there was no receptionist, I had to figure it out on my own, wasting a lot of time. It's about a 20-minute walk from the nearest train station, feeling like a mountain climb. Dragging my suitcase along the way was extremely difficult. Furthermore, I was subjected to discriminatory remarks and behavior from a white person in a bar along the way; the surrounding area is not very safe. While I suppose it's unavoidable if you're looking for cheap accommodation in Switzerland (17,000 yen per night), I wouldn't stay there again."
