The one star reviews are correct. This place is run down, dirty and in need of extensive refurbishment. Five star reviews must be friends, family or people with seriously low standards. Breakfast was so bad we left it and went to Whetherspoons down the road!

Filthy rooms, filthy bed linen and windows. No profesional cleaning. Nice building, shame no care taken to fix room facilities and make clean and fresh with decorating and fresh laundry. No excuse to be this filthy. Owner needs to invest more than just money.

We stayed in a family room with a double and single bed in September 2022. The room felt very tired and was dirty in multiple places. The carpet was theadbare and stained. The bed linen smelt fusty, the throw cushions on both beds were stained and felt unhygienic to touch. The bathroom was also dirty and the ceiling light had been removed leavong a hole in the ceiling. Similar feedback was given to the owner when on Four in a Bed, which he has not taken on board nor improved the cleanliness of the place. There is no reception from staff so we did not see anyone during our 2 night stay and upon emailing the owner to make a request did not receive a response. This could be a great place to stay but currently is not welcoming or cared for which shows in the standard of the accommodation. I won't be returning.

The whole of the property needs a good clean. The towels were marked and looked dirty, they had also started to become threadbare. The curtains in our room were hanging off, the shower door was coming off and the the walls were marked. We weren’t sure if the bed sheets had been changed as there was lots of bits under the throw!
