The Harrietville Snowline Hotel

"Beautiful large deck catering for a lot of people. We had a very large group with dogs & it suited the group. Was very hot in the sun till it went down behind the mountain, some of our group had to move tables. The food was very small serves ( whole group) and was expensive for what it was. I had the beef cheese burger & there was more chips than burger. For $27 I didn't expect to come away still hungry. Others had the steak which was $41 and also left hungry. Haven't been for 2 years but was very disappointed."

Alpine Riverside Cottages

"This property has pretty views of the river, great for frolicking in on a hot day or just cooling ones feet after a days hiking. The hosts are very friendly and are so very helpful and go above and beyond what one would expect. The rooms are fully equipped with full kitchen, ensuite and comfortable beds. There is also an undercover BBQ area and lots of grass to picnic on by the river if you prefer. Take a leisurely drive to Mt. Buffalo, Harrietville or Bright. Stroll around the shops or take walks by the river. There are plenty of places to hike if you want something more strenuous but there is your cottage waiting at the end of the day to relax in and absorb the serenity of the evening. If you don't feel like cooking, drive a short distance to the Porepunkah pub which serves a variety of yummy meals. We arrived at Alpine Park River Cottages as strangers and left as friends."

"The location is very good, a small and exquisite town, very close to the city center, very comfortable and very clean. The infrastructure in the house is available, I will stay here next time."

Bright Velo

"This was our third stay at the Velo and just as exceptional as our previous stays. We had two rooms in the Mystic Wing which seemed to have had a recent update. The rooms were scrupulosly clean,with plenty of towels. Beds were super comforable and again super clean.Check in instructions were clear and sent well ahead of our arrival. You are but a short stroll from everything the town of Bright has to offer. Great parking. On the morning of check out we met the most delightful housekeeper who happily showed us around the newly refurbrished areas of the hotel. Attention to detail was very luxe but warm and inviting. Previously we had stayed upstairs in the main building which has been extensively renovated so we are aware as to how the Velo had previously looked. Have also stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Central to everything and pleasing to see the amazing upgrades and development of this quintessential Victoria hotel. Looking forward to our next stay!"

The bar was a fantastic place to hang out and our restaurant meal was great. Our room was clean and perfect for our visit. Thanks for making our trip a great experience."

"Excellent attention to detail in the room with stunning interiors that complement the nature of the environment. Artwork and furniture are beautifully selected. Peaceful and quiet with a spacious bathroom that makes you feel like you're in a natural springs resort. The TV moves from the lounge room with one neat swivel to the bedroom. Comfortable bed with high end linen. Luxury with a lovely kitchenette that provides everything you would require to cook most meals. The gardens are stunning, and the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. Excellent location set away from the busy shopping precinct. The hosts are exceptional, welcoming and eager to provide you with information about the local surrounds. An exceptional experience of relaxation for couples."

"The unit we were put up at was newly renovated. The room was clean, the accommodation was clean, and Sam was extremely friendly. The location is quite convenient to the centre of town, which made it easy for us to walk back after a few drinks over dinner. Will definitely return the next time we are back in Bright."

"A 2 day stopover proved to be an excellent decision. The location was quiet immediately next to the river snd walking track. The cabin had a seperate bedroom, open plan kitchen and log fire seating area plus an outside BBQ. Everything was included for comfort and relaxation. The town had wonderful Retail outlets including a fabulous Christmas and Lolly Shop. A great bakery, restaurants and grocery store catered for all needs. Simply wonderful."
