Brighton|0.37km from Brighton Palace Pier
Prior to booking I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews being 50/50 with some mentioning of being too hot, noise levels and stolen items just to name a few. However, after I arrived I had nothing but positive things to say about this hostel. It was my first time staying in one as a solo traveller who travels singular often! I had all round a fantastic stay. I stayed in a room with 3/4 other females who were respectful of one another and would move around quietly. The window was left open throughout the night so it was an enjoyable nights sleep, however I can imagine it would have been toasty had the window been closed- it was a great circulation throughout. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with soap and tissue. You can rent a towel from reception, before leaving I read reviews that stated this so took along my own but for a small fee you can be provided one on arrival. There are lockers on level 1 that you can leave valuables and bags inside if you happen to arrive earlier than 15h check in time or throughout your stay. I felt safe to leave my bag on my bed when leaving the hotel for the evening to meet friends and just put a padlock on for my own reassurance! Everything was untouched. The staff at reception are pleasant and welcoming with a friendly smile and the bar does great drink offers (£6 for a double!) I would happily stay here again and I’m delighted to have had a first time great stay in a hostel. YHA thanks for making my stay in Brighton enjoyable!!

Hamptons Brighton
3.4/540 Reviews
The hotel is very good and the check in is easy. We had a family room for 3 adults and 2 children. In England the wheelchairs do not hesitate and often the day comes into the rooms in the morning. The hotel has a light on its face that it leaves all night on every side of our bow window. This laying the light on it was seen as in the day-to-day in our room and the children had difficulty sleeping before 23h-23h30.... When I asked at the reception if it was possible to shut out the outside light the night, I was answered that it was impossible that this room had been rented hundreds of times and that I was the first to complain. I'm just gonna be a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a I join you a photo of our night windows with wallpapers to try to make more black
Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront - Formerly Jurys Inn
4/543 Reviews
I almost walked out of Jury's Inn when I arrived in Brighton; I was already irritated by their 16:00 check-in time, and the place felt grubby and tired when I walked in. However, it redeemed itself quite quickly when I dealt with the staff. The ladies on the reception desk were incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient, and Ken at the bag storage made my day with his calm and affable personality. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and even though I was close to the lifts, there was little noise. I never ate at the dining room so cannot comment, but I did have a drink at the bar area, which I found to be a little sterile. It was a busy weekend with many people and families in and out, but the hotel managed exceptionally well. Even when one of the lifts was out, I didn't feel that the staff dropped their pace or professionalism. The hotel is in a great location as a springboard for Brighton. My ”Jury” is still out regarding value for money, but I have no hesitation in appreciating the staff.

Relax Inn Guest House
3.7/55 Reviews
The location is superior and the transportation is convenient. The hotel has complete facilities, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the stay is very comfortable. The service of the front desk staff is very good, very proactive and enthusiastic. Personally, I think the price/performance ratio is quite high.
Legends Hotel
4.3/5125 Reviews
The Legends hotel states that they have a bar and sub terrain night club in the basement, what they don’t state is :- a,  That the night club carries on until 4:00 am and that the ear plugs provided are ineffective. b,  That if you have a so called city view you can only see the rear of the  adjacent properties. c,  You can’t have the windows open for long because of the deafening noise coming from the air conditioning units on the lower roof and the noise from the extractor chimney are the equivalent to booking accommodation in a machine shop. d,  Empty bottles cascading into the wheelie bin through the small hours of the morning. When we complained about this we were told that staff were not supposed to empty bottles before 8:00. The last time we heard bottles was 5:30. e,  Dirty mouldy bathroom. Dust all over the radiator that dirtied the towels when placed on it.  f,  Misrepresentation of rooms size in the hotel description. Ours was definitely not the same as the one pictured. g,  Being fobbed off  by the hotel staff when we asked to see anyone of authority so we could get reimbursed, and who would only be available when we were long gone. So as you can see from our experience and since getting home and reviewing the lower scores left by previous travellers we are not the only couple to have had a less than pleasant experience at the Legends hotel
Square Townhouse

Amazing experience! James, mark and the team really went out of there way to provide a great service for us. Not only was the place itself fantastic and cosy, the location was perfect, right next to the beach and the city centre. However, what really set this place apart was the people, James, Mark and the team made us feel so welcomed. It was mine and my girlfriend’s first year anniversary and they went and sourced flowers for me from a local shop and delivered it to my room, and with a busy weekend ahead that helped me so much! Even when I cut myself at the beach I sent a message asking if they had a first aid kit and the guys dropped plasters to my room with anti-bac wipes, the service was honestly exceptional! We will definitely be coming back to Brighton, and we’re so happy that we found a great place to return to. Highly recommend 10/10!
