Staybridge Suites Brighton, an IHG hotel
4.5/591 Reviews
The hotel location is amazing - just 2 minutes from the station (if that) and a 10 minute stroll to the beach. The Hotel was exceptionally clean with brilliant welcoming staff. As other have mentioned, the only negative is that the breakfast choices were very limited. Small single portion omelettes, tinned tomatoes and sausages, as well as cereals etc. However - don't let this distract you. Loved the additional facilities of the hotel (washing machines, the Den) etc. The room was silent - no noise from anywhere. Good powerful but quiet air con.

Location is just behind Brighton Railway Station, so very convenient for transport links & around a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Sea Front, I stayed one night & didn't have breakfast although it is available, It's near shops, pubs & restaurants if you take the short walk through the station!

There is breakfast, but it is very simple, things are less than the average British hotel, and the price is not cheap, it costs 12 pounds a person. The room is still quite large and belongs to the simple and comfortable one. Walk to the beach for about 25 minutes and there are many bars nearby. I lived on Saturday, so it was very noisy at night. The parking lot is small and has to be booked.
Q Square by Supercity Aparthotels

I checked into this establishment on a Tuesday afternoon. As I walked into the street, I thought i was a little lost since it looked like a residential cul-de sac and I couldn't see anything that resembled a hotel at first. And then I saw Q with a superscript ”2” on the wall straight ahead of me and realised that it read ”Q Squared” so I marched on up with a bit more confidence. There was a sea of taxis on the entire road in this cul-de-sac, which must be very handy for guests. It had taxi road markings so it's a dedicated taxi station, it seems. The entrance was an automatic sliding door which led to the reception area. Modern, clean and welcoming. Staff were great. I checked in. They require a deposit of £200 which does not get debited and is only reserved unless you need to pay for any damages. I was in room 3 on the ground floor. Spacious and modern. It had a shower room, not a bath. There was a kitchenette area with an electric 2 ring hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, saucepans and ladles, crockery and cutlery. There was no microwave. The bed was very comfortable. There was ample wardrobe space and inside the wardrobe were hangers, shelves, an ironing board and an iron. There was a seating area with a sofa and coffee table, a dining table and chairs for two, and a desk area with a TV mounted above it. Note that there is no on-site restaurant but there are several eateries in the vicinity. I walked over to Leon for a Carribbean curry takeaway and it took me no more than 3 minutes to get there. The hotel is in the centre of the vibrant town. What I liked the most about this place was the on-site gym. It happened to be just opposite my room on her ground floor. Top notch equipment with a nice solid treadmill that I ran on for half an hour :) I've put lots of photos up.
Ibis Brighton City Centre - Station

This is a nice little hotel and I’ve stayed here several times due to it’s convenient location. This stay I had an issue with my room but the staff sorted it out quickly. The breakfast is good value at I think £12, so you can really fill up for the day before going out and exploring. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a good size. During the summer the rooms are more expensive as it’s peak season, however compared to many other hotels this is pretty good value for money.
