Good service at hotel,with all landmarks near by and good connectivity as well. Definitely recommended,for everyone looking for a budget hotel at Brighton. Only thing which wasn't quiet good is the room sound proofing,we could here everything from the next doors, couldn't speel well because of this

The service attitude of the hotel is quite good. Although the water in the shower is very small, the heating is sufficient. At the beginning, the heating in one room was not working well. They immediately helped us change the room. It was also very quiet. You can also store your luggage. Thank you very much for the reception

After travelling for 14hrs, my pregnant daughter and I were super excited to be staying in the hotel and were particularly looking forward to a swim in the hotels pool. We arrived early and there was an issue with our booking; seemingly it had been cancelled somehow. The staff were patient and helpful & offered us another room, the same size and price. They also let us access the room early. As we walked through the hotel we we're a bit surprised that it didn't quite match the grandeur in the photos. However, we were desperate to offload our luggage and pop into town to get some essentials. Upon entering our room we were shocked! The room was extremely outdated, dusty and the fixtures and fittings weren't in the heat of repair. We had specifically booked a sea view room, as were coastal girls and wanted to enjoy the view. The windows were filthy and our view was stilted just dirt and grime. Being coastal, we do appreciate the effects of the salt from the sea on the windows, but - this was beyond what would be reasonably expected. We decided to weather it as we were both too tired and thought things might seem brighter after a swim. Sadly, this wasn't to be. The pool - although advertised as 'heated' - was freezing and we couldn't manage very long. This was so disappointing as we had been so looking forward to using the pool and winding down. We headed back up to the room to warm up and try to make the best of the situation. Again, this didn't happen. The room was freezing, with no heating accessible to turn up. My daughter (22 weeks pregnant) had chattering teeth and it was all just too much. We packed up and headed down to the reception to check out. We'd spent less than 2 hours in the hotel! We explained the issues to reception who were, to their credit, understanding. They did offer us the use of another, upgraded room but given the state of the room we had just vacated we didn't think it worth risking another shot. We had our refund processed, thanked the staff and left. The staff, as a whole, were faultless - especially a lady who I think was relatively new to the role. The Manager assured us that the hotel is going to be undergoing a refit but that wasn't much help to us at that time. It's such a shame that the hotel is so substandard! It's a beautiful shell, fantastic location and offers such amazing views. But, our experience means we will refrain from ever visiting the hotel again, and couldn't ever recommend it. For £250 for one night it's just not ok.

The Legends hotel states that they have a bar and sub terrain night club in the basement, what they don’t state is :- a,  That the night club carries on until 4:00 am and that the ear plugs provided are ineffective. b,  That if you have a so called city view you can only see the rear of the  adjacent properties. c,  You can’t have the windows open for long because of the deafening noise coming from the air conditioning units on the lower roof and the noise from the extractor chimney are the equivalent to booking accommodation in a machine shop. d,  Empty bottles cascading into the wheelie bin through the small hours of the morning. When we complained about this we were told that staff were not supposed to empty bottles before 8:00. The last time we heard bottles was 5:30. e,  Dirty mouldy bathroom. Dust all over the radiator that dirtied the towels when placed on it.  f,  Misrepresentation of rooms size in the hotel description. Ours was definitely not the same as the one pictured. g,  Being fobbed off  by the hotel staff when we asked to see anyone of authority so we could get reimbursed, and who would only be available when we were long gone. So as you can see from our experience and since getting home and reviewing the lower scores left by previous travellers we are not the only couple to have had a less than pleasant experience at the Legends hotel

The hotel is very good and the check in is easy. We had a family room for 3 adults and 2 children. In England the wheelchairs do not hesitate and often the day comes into the rooms in the morning. The hotel has a light on its face that it leaves all night on every side of our bow window. This laying the light on it was seen as in the day-to-day in our room and the children had difficulty sleeping before 23h-23h30.... When I asked at the reception if it was possible to shut out the outside light the night, I was answered that it was impossible that this room had been rented hundreds of times and that I was the first to complain. Our stay at Britannia Study Hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and approachable, the room was clean and reasonably priced, check in/check out was quick and easy. We arrived a few hours before check in and were allowed to go to our room early to store our luggage which was a nice surprise, when we got into the room we were taken aback by how clean and well laid out it was. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the facilities good. Overall, the room was fantastic, the location is perfectly central and the value for money is great. However, outside of our window was some sort of ventilation/cooling unit which was incredibly loud and came on intermittently all day and night, and was loud even with the windows shut. Lack of AC in the middle of June did not help the situation as we needed the windows open through the night. A stand-fan was provided but we were unsure about leaving it on through the night. Facilities in the room were good, sockets by the beds is always good and a desk and chair were provided. However, the chair was stained and so we decided not to use it. This is the only place where the cleanliness slipped.

The hotel location is amazing - just 2 minutes from the station (if that) and a 10 minute stroll to the beach. The Hotel was exceptionally clean with brilliant welcoming staff. As other have mentioned, the only negative is that the breakfast choices were very limited. Small single portion omelettes, tinned tomatoes and sausages, as well as cereals etc. However - don't let this distract you. Loved the additional facilities of the hotel (washing machines, the Den) etc. The room was silent - no noise from anywhere. Good powerful but quiet air con.

The hotel lives up to its name it’s “Grand” and has retained its charm. Our room on the 5th floor was very large well furnished, great amenities and clean with a wonderful sea view. Thank you to the amazing staff on concierge desk, reception, breakfast crew and housekeeping who were always friendly efficient and helpful, it was a delightful six days. We will definitely return.

This is a nice little hotel and I’ve stayed here several times due to it’s convenient location. This stay I had an issue with my room but the staff sorted it out quickly. The breakfast is good value at I think £12, so you can really fill up for the day before going out and exploring. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a good size. During the summer the rooms are more expensive as it’s peak season, however compared to many other hotels this is pretty good value for money.
