"I fell in love with the property at first sight... Castle was surrounded by lush greens all around.. I later realised that it was a golf course..lush green woods on other side...a walking distance to sea side...it was fantastic...! Though old Castle property offered all modern amenities. Room was good.. bathroom was small though... beds were really tiny..no tea /coffee machines in rooms but all that was overpowered by the history of the place and scenic green surroundings..!! The staff was extremely helpful..! The restaurant is one of the best.. served lovely dinner and breakfast.. I saw one guest requesting pink pigeon.. which was immediately met by chef...There are interesting ghost stories around the castle... looked like deliberately created to just arouse curiocity but gentle enough not to scare the tourists away...!!! The castle has been converted to hotel some 20 years ago...this is definate reco for asian tourist who want to experience scenic europe..."

"Nice and historic structure. Our room was ok clean, better than described in the last review, but the bathroom has been outdated 30 years ago... Almost no mobil signal in the room, WiFi did not work, no TV signal in the room. Breakfast not bad but very basic, Dinner below average. Personell friendly, but underqualified, thez could not do anzthing about WiFi or TV. The pool and sauna area was outdated, dirty, water temperature 19°C. Kokkedal Slot is a part of the chain "Danske Slotshoteller", obviously driven with the aim to achieve maximum profit with a minimum of engagement. All in all a rather sad experience at a place which huge possibilities. We will surely not return as long the hotel is driven that way"
