Sunday Hotel Köln Brühl ★★★★
"Hotel Koeln Bruehl is a pleasant and well-located option for travelers visiting the Cologne/Brühl area, offering a mix of comfort, convenience, and affordability. Situated in a quiet yet accessible area, the hotel is ideal for both business travelers and tourists. Its proximity to Phantasialand, a popular theme park, makes it particularly attractive for families. ### Pros: 1. **Location**: The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to reach Cologne's city center or other nearby attractions like Brühl Palace and Phantasialand. The peaceful neighborhood adds to the appeal, offering a relaxing retreat after a busy day of sightseeing or business meetings. 2. **Rooms**: The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While not overly luxurious, they provide all the essential amenities, including free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a small workspace. The beds are comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. 3. **Service**: The staff at Hotel Koeln Bruehl are friendly, professional, and accommodating. They are always ready to assist with any queries or requests, adding a personal touch to your stay. 4. **Breakfast**: The breakfast buffet is a highlight, offering a variety of options, including fresh bread, pastries, fruits, and hot dishes. It provides a good start to the day and is reasonably priced. 5. **Parking**: Ample parking space is available on-site, which is a great convenience for guests traveling by car. ### Cons: 1. **Décor**: The hotel’s interior is somewhat dated and could benefit from modernizing. While everything is functional, the style might feel a bit old-fashioned to some guests. 2. **Limited Facilities**: Unlike larger hotels, Hotel Koeln Bruehl doesn't have extensive facilities such as a gym, pool, or spa. However, this is reflected in the reasonable pricing. 3. **Noise Levels**: While the area is generally quiet, some guests have reported noise issues due to thin walls, which can be a minor inconvenience, especially if the hotel is busy. ### Conclusion: Hotel Koeln Bruehl is a solid choice for visitors looking for a no-frills, comfortable stay in the Cologne/Brühl area. Its location, friendly service, and good value for money make it an excellent option for families, business travelers, or anyone looking to explore the region without breaking the bank. While it may not offer the luxury or modernity of higher-end hotels, it delivers on all the essentials for a pleasant stay."
Balthasar Neumann Speiserei & Gästehaus - Zentrum Brühl - ★★
"It was a wonderful stay."
RS-Hotel - Smart & Modern Hotel Apartments ★★★
"The only good thing about this hotel is its close location to Phantasialand and that it has a shopping mall that is a 3-minute walk away. Unfortunately, all of my interactions with the hotel were negative. Email: I emailed the hotel 3 days prior to check with questions. This was not answered until 6pm the day of check in! Phone: When I tried to phone to discuss the questions I had, the number does not work! You get a message saying the phone number does not exist. Reception: is only open until 6pm and they offered me no form of customer service. Hotel amenities: There is a vending machine available, however, it puts a €35 hold on your card for upto 48 hours, even if you are only buying €2 worth of items. There is a coffee machine in the room with 2 capsules and a note to purchase more if you need more. but that is it. There is no refrigerator or anything else useful for a hotel that does not serve breakfast. Hotel cleaning: There is a note in the room that says the trash is cleaned daily with the room being cleaned every 2 days. My trash was not cleaned daily. Local area: There is a shopping mall a 3 minute walk away, it has a Rewe grocery store that is open until 22:00 some evenings. Rooms: Whilst clean and tidy, they do have thin walls and you can hear others, their tvs and conversations. Parking: is available, in a public parking garage, They will sell you a discounted space for your stay, however, the hotel is NOT clear how this works. As it’s a public garage, if you do not find a space, its tough luck. The hotel does not have reserved or specific spots for the hotel. It could be that you pay for a space and none are available and you are forced to park and pay elsewhere. Issue I had: 1 of the rooms I booked had the smell of raw sewage coming from the shower. When I raised the issue with reception, the first response I received was, ‘I don’t speak English’, followed by ‘I cant help!’. This is no form of customer service. When I attempted to translate the problem, the only solution was to offer to have the bathroom cleaned. When I explained this wouldn’t help, the response was, ‘do you want the bathroom cleaned or not?’ This is unhelpful and unprofessional. The best response would have been, ‘let me come and smell and see how I can best resolve this problem or ‘lets change rooms’, wich at no point was offered.. When we returned to the room in the evening, it actually smelt worse than we had reported it!!!! Expecting anyone to stay in a room that smells of raw sewage with an obvious drain issue, is utterly unacceptable. Whilst the hotel likes to call itself ‘smart luxury’, I in no way experienced any form of luxury or customer service. Based on the exceptional lack of customer service and a room that smelt like sewage, I cant and wouldn’t recommend the hotel."
Hotel am Stern ★★★
"Nice small hotel with friendly staff. Parking isn’t free but 6 euros a night. I queried it for my motorbike and was shown a corner area where I wouldn’t have to pay which was appreciated. Room was a good size for a single and warm but had an air con unit which made a huge difference. Breakfast disappointing. Arrived an hour before it closed but no hot food or pastries left and not replenished. Close to the centre for evening meals etc."
Atrium Apart Hotel Brühl ★★★
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The reception from the staff was very friendly and the lady who created is spoke English very well. The room was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. We had a small garden where we could sit. The room had airconditioning and that was very nice because it was 32 C the weekend we were here. There is a good restaurants and shops in walking distance (10min). I only missed a rack do dry towles on. The beds are firm."
City Apartment 1 - Located directly in the pedestrian zone and Brühl Palace Park ★★

Trafohaus am Kaiserbahnhof ★★★
"We chose this hotel on Booking for our visit to Phantasialand and what a great idea we had, everything was perfect both the welcome from the owner and the quality of the place, the room was perfect as well as the bathroom which was worthy of the largest Palace in Paris which was very clean and very well appointed, we will definitely come back and this time we will visit Cologne (Köln), see you soon (bis bald also)"
