Beautiful location in eastern part of NL wth forests, farming and old towns like Zutphen. Venue in old historical 300 years old but renovated castle. Very attentive staff. Great restaurant with view on the garden, woods and golf. Luxury room

Lovely dinner with family and friends. Never disappointed when we dine here or stay . The food is amazing and staff is incredibly attentive. Last summer spent four nights here for a family event and loved it. Beautiful setting and wonderful accommodations

Went here on valentines day for a 6 course menu tasting , I stayed the night , started off at the bar there was a selection of different kinds of draft beer but I went for the local homemade beer , after went the the dinner was open kitchen very nice vibe , very interesting selection of South African wines

Beautiful buildings in great setting. Small but pleasant room,nice bathroom. Top restaurant with narrow but excellent food,perfectly prepared and presented. Very special breakfast served st your table.All in all very nice.The only detail is the reception lady that was not welcoming at arrival and not at departure.Rest of staff correct and pleasant.

Room good and spacious, not very special. A beautiful place to stay. The kitchen is good. The area is beautiful, don't forget to rent a bike or take it with you. Hiking is also great in this area.

Experience special wonderful days at Engelenburg Castle, a beautiful location if you have an eye for it. we felt more than welcome, from receptionist/service to hostess/gentleman, all equally friendly and helpful.......the owner told us about the castle's past....took all the time for you and was very kind and friendly. also nice atmosphere among each other...humor etc.... both dinner and breakfast were excellent with the view of that great garden!!!! we had a beautiful spacious room with a lovely terrace, excellent shower and beds. Of course, some things are outdated, but that's why you stay in a castle, this gives everything the charm. We will never forget our stay at the Castle, CLASS!!

Beautiful place, a bit outdated, unfortunately a wedding that made the terrace inaccessible, one of the reasons to go here, there are hardly any other outdoor terrace places unfortunately. So then sit inside in stuffy bar. Receptionist is a great lady. Not all service oriented. Sometimes even grumpy. Bathroom could be slightly renewed, bad shower and kit also needs to be replaced. Cracks in sink. Just a bit below par. Room is funny but nothing special. Price quality hard to find. Unfortunately.

We stayed at Engelenburg Castle for the 10th time and the regime change is clearly noticeable. The ongoing renovations and the clearly visible lack of staff leave their mark. People are clearly looking for a 'new wind' and I wonder whether too much new wind is good for this institute. The new chef is trying to put new culinary accents and it takes some getting used to the new taste bombs that are presented that make people return to other countries and return to the basics. we have thoroughly enjoyed it and have already made reservations for next year and are curious where Engelenburg will end up.
