They advertised greatly on their homepage that they will serve a specially nice dinner menue for Mother's day. We made a reservation for a party of 8 but when we arrived at 6pm, there was no Moter's day menue left - very disapointing! And the couple running the restaurant did not even have the courtesy to come by our table to explain or excuse. In adition, the portions are rather small, and the crème brûlée at CHF 14.-- heavily overpriced! Unfortunately, this was the second bad experience with this restaurant and was definitely our last.

We chose this proud country inn for a late Christmas dinner. Various restaurants are housed in the massive former farmhouse. The chosen gourmet restaurant is furnished with lots of wood and conveys a noble coziness. The menu focuses on regional meat dishes and appetizers to go with them. A meat or vegetarian tasting menu conveys the best cross-section of the kitchen. All dishes were impeccable and tasted excellent. Matching the menu, the wine list focuses on traditional Swiss and Central European wines. The large selection of local Aargau wines from the immediate vicinity is pleasing, which unfortunately, despite their good quality, are seldom offered to the same extent!

Meine Freundin und ich, wollten an diesem Abend etwas essen und trinken. Beim eintreten kam uns der Kellner mit vorgestreckten Händen entgegen. Wir wollten in das Gourmet Restaurant. Er sagte wir sollen in das Schlosspintli gehen. Es war rustikal und wir haben uns in den hinteren Teil gesetzt. Ich ging nochmals zu dem Kellner und fragte ob es eine Bar hat. Da ich Mitglied im Goldenen Fisch bin, wollte ich auch gerne das Restaurant anschauen. Es waren nur 1 - 2 Tische besetzt. Als ich zu meiner Freundin zurück komme, stand ein Fräulein am Tisch und sagte, wir sollen doch in den vordern Teil gehen, da die Tische für das Frühstück eingedeckt werden. Das war dann genug. Wo ist hier die Romantik? Soviel Unhöflichkeit war dann doch zuviel. Wir sind dann wieder im Regen zu unserem Auto in das Hotel Linde, nach Fislisbach gefahren. Was sehr zu Empfehlen ist.

Ich bin so begeistert gewesen von diese Hotel, War beim ein Seminar an geladen... Zimmer sind top, wunderschön angerichtet, sehr gute Frühstück, Personal sehr nett, und sehr freundlich. Wir habe in Gourmet Restaurant gegessen, und die Küche Crew hat ein Stern verdient!!!! Lachs tartar als Amuse Boucher, ein Traum, Filet super gebraten, Beilagen excelente abgeschmeckt... Also auf jeder Fall ich komme wieder.
