Dana Guesthouse

Beautiful location, good food, quite. Friendly staff, Salim draws perfect maps for hiking ;-) Perfect if you like nature . Many trails or a balcony to relax and enjoy. The view from our shower was the best ever, really. Prepare for cold wind .

Dana Guesthouse is in a stunning location in Dana Nature Reserve with beautiful views down the Wadi. The rooms are simple but spacious, clean and comfortable, providing everything you need for your stay. Dinner offered a well prepared buffet with plenty of great dishes to choose from. The staff are local people from the village and the Reserve - one of the purposes of Dana Guesthouse is to support the local people - and Salim , in particular, couldn't do enough to ensure we were happy and comfortable. This is much more than a simple Guesthouse- it's a beautiful home from home for your visit.

This is a nice simple guesthouse located in the Dana Biosphere Reserve. The small village is mostly abadoned but there seems to be some effort to revive via eco tourism You go there to enjoy the reserve and the walks it offers. Our room on the top floor was quite large and had a comfortable sitting area overlooking the valley. This area had good lighting. The area around the bed had poor lighting. The bed was king size but a bit too hard and lumpy but not bad enough to prevent us sleeping well. The bathroom was well lit, adequately sized and the shower worked well. As it was quite cool when we stayed there we were given a heater for the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful even the cook came and talked to us. The food was what you would expect for this type of hotel. Simple and tasty, homestyle Arabian food.

Very clean and safe property, owner is very helping and staff is also good, view from room is amazing of garden, location is near dal lake, hounest suggestions and trustworthy we expressed if we ask for any cab, booking at other locations, market, food related stuff. They make you feel at Home and happy trip experience .

As described elsewhere the location of the hotel is unmatched, including the design of the rooms ensuring that even the bathrooms have amazing views of the valley. However, rooms may be up for a facelift or at least upkeeping (humidity spots throughout the building). Also as noted in several comments before the breakfast is below par for international and Jordan standards -specially when considering the price for value tradeoff.

Stopped here as part of a tour for a short hike and lunch. Wished we could have stayed longer. The scenery is amazing and the restaurant clean with an amazing choice of freshly prepared dishes and complimentary juices. Recommended.
