Hotel Ambasador

Bucharest City Center
Facilities: The heating effect is very good and the room is very warm. The equipment is a bit old and it can be seen that the hotel has been around for a long time. There are no slippers and toothbrushes, and water is charged. The windows are not very soundproof. If you sleep lightly, try not to choose a room on the street. The view outside the window is not particularly good. The elevator found one, and it will shock twice to the first floor. The hotel lobby is also very dark. There is an ATM in the hotel. Hygienic: The cleaning is still quite clean. But the bathroom hygiene is not ideal. Environment: The hotel is on the main road, relatively close to the city center, about ten minutes walk to the University Square. It is close to the National Art Museum, about five minutes away. There are supermarkets, cake shops, bus stops and subway stations nearby.

The room is too small, you know, this price is already very good.

The position of this hotel is excellent. Close to the Old Center, the Art Museum, the Athenaeum, the Old Center, the Universitate metro station, The staff is very nice, kind, hospitable and helpful from all points of view. The room has facilities such as air conditioning, refrigerator, water heater, tea, coffee, sugar. The only problem is that the rooms no longer look as they are in the pictures,The pictures were probably taken a few years ago, because now they don't look like that anymore in the sense that now everything is a bit outdated.

Hotel location is wonderful - middle of the old city. Rooms are spacious enough but some of them are located over a street with a night club and are very noisy all night (especially lower floors) - this has to be mentioned at check in to relevant customers. Staff is very friendly and helpful - especially at reception. Rooms cleaning needs some improvement as some negligence showed and called for our intervention. Breakfast is great, large choice and comfortable dining room including outdoor seating Fitness center is quite small and at basement - could have been located on an upper floor facing the old city - would be wonderful

I stayed at this hotel twice because it was recommended to me and the reviews seemed mostly positive. However, my opinion is subjective and based solely on my own experience. Positive points: - The breakfast offers a wide variety of options suitable for different dietary needs. - The hotel is generally clean and maintained to an acceptable standard. - The location of the hotel is convenient, being well situated in relation to the city center. Negative points: - The first room had a noisy ventilation system in the bathroom, which would only stop after 10-15 minutes of turning off the lights. Additionally, the showerhead was broken, and the water pressure was barely noticeable. - The wifi provided by the hotel was often unstable or unreliable. A suggested tip was to use a personal hotspot connection from a phone for better connectivity. - There was a lack of shower gel in the provided toiletries, with mostly shampoos available, which was inconvenient for showering. The staff was helpful. If I could, I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.
Mari Vila Hotel

Stopped here in a King Suite with my husband for 2 nights, visiting family and was seriously impressed. The room was bigger than most of the flats I've ever owned! Everywhwere was kept clean and we really liked the fact that there were sofas on each floor if you wanted to relax/have a drink/wait for lift. LOL, Not that we're lazy. Every member of staff we came into contact with were helpful, friendly and courteous. Don't expect a full English or American breakfast though, it's traditional fare. Everything we had was fresh and flavoursome - cold meats, salads, cheeses, etc. 10 minute walk to the metro and retail park. A fraction of the price of hotels in Bucharest and only 20 minutes on the metro into the city centre. Only 10 days to go before our next visit and cannot wait to get into the outdoor pool and top up our tans!
