"John and Mary made us very welcome into their beautiful home.. Our room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A large bathroom with a separate shower and bath. Bed and pillows very comfortable, Breakfast was plentiful and lovely. Also they went to alot of trouble to accomodate my food allergy. The location of the house is quite rural so you need a car to explore the area but there is plenty of places to visit. Thankyou for a lovely weekend, We will definately be returning.."

"5 friends and I have just stayed in Clun for the weekend. We ate here twice and had two lovely meals, one being the Sunday roast. All the staff were friendly and attentive but Jack especially so, he remembered all our names and made us feel really welcome. Would highly recommend this pub if you’re staying in or near Clun."

"The Feathers is well located in the centre of Ludlow and is an old building that is full of charm. However, this also means that it is a bit of a rabbit warren inside, making it challenging to find your way around the long, branching corridors - a definite nightmare in event of a fire. The carpark was full when we arrived, despite it being much larger than I expected, but there was a council carpark behind the hotel and only a short walk away, which was free from 6pm to 8am, which is very convenient. Our bed was large, clean and comfortable and the room was well resourced: tea and coffee making facilities with a wide range of teas and milks; complimentary canned water in the mini fridge; iron and ironing board; plenty of sockets including USB, at the bedside and a variety of products in the bathroom, though no toothpaste which was the one thing we'd forgotten to pack! One of the spoons was dirty, hence only 4 stars for cleanliness. The guest wifi was strong and easy to access. We didn't have time to use the reception areas downstairs, but they looked beautifully presented and were full of character, offering a very attractive space to have a drink or meal. Staff at reception were pleasant and professional."
