East-West Budapest Boutique Hotel

This was my first hotel in Budapest. The rooms are clean, the towels are spotless white, and they even provide slippers and bathrobes! The bathroom has an electric towel warmer. I'd like to express huge thanks to the lady who prepares breakfast – she was incredibly helpful and assisted me greatly. Now for the downsides: - There's no elevator in the hotel. I was lucky that I only stayed on the second floor and my suitcase was light. - In the evening, the area feels a bit unsafe and it's a bit far from the city center. - Staff – at 10:30 PM, no one could answer my texts or calls. I needed to check out at 8 AM, and no one answered the '24/7' phone line when I needed to pay for breakfast. The lady who serves breakfast was a great help; she had the personal numbers of various staff members and somehow managed to reach one of them! No one could take my card payment at 8 AM, so they allowed me to pay 20 euros in cash (breakfast costs 15). The check-out situation really soured my impression of the hotel, so next time I'll probably choose a different one.

Wonderful place. I was greeted by a very positive and pleasant girl who told me everything. A small but functional room in a good location and in good condition.

I took the 100E bus from Budapest Airport. It's about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Of course, there are other ways to get there, so this is just for reference. I arrived a little after 11am, but they kindly let me check in and showed me to my room. The room is compact, but sufficient for one person. There are plenty of power outlets. Amenities include a refrigerator, safety deposit box, hairdryer, shampoo, kettle, tea, and bottled water. However, the kettle was missing its power cord, so I didn't use it. It takes a while for the hot water to come out of the shower, and it's also lukewarm. The air conditioning works very well. It was mid-July, and it was hot every day, so it was a great help. The Wi-Fi is also strong. It seems to have been renovated in 2025, so it's relatively new. However, there is no elevator, so be careful if you have large luggage. Also, the hotel itself is difficult to find. It's especially hard to find at night, so check the map carefully.
