Hotel Hacienda del Conde Melia Collection Golf & Spa – Adults Only

We recently stayed at Hacienda del Conde and found many things to like — the property is immaculate, housekeeping excellent, and the quality of the toiletries, towels, and bedding first-class. The buffet restaurant also offered a very good variety and quality of food. However, our room was located on the lowest level of the hotel with a poor view, and there was no help with luggage on arrival. That said, while we were at golf, my wife did later receive helpful assistance in getting our luggage to room 326. The golf shuttle was also unavailable when needed. What stood out most was the lack of warmth and visible management. Staff were courteous and hardworking, but there was no one greeting guests at the restaurant or providing direction — surprising for a 5-star Meliá property. We shared our feedback directly with the Guest Experience Manager and copied in the General Manager, but received no meaningful acknowledgment from senior management, which was disappointing given our long-standing loyalty to the brand. This is a beautiful property in an exceptional setting, but it would benefit greatly from stronger, more visible leadership to bring out its full potential and deliver the warm, personal service that usually defines Meliá hotels.

SECOND EXCELLENT STAY! We recently stayed at Hacienda del Conde (for the second time this year) and our stay was simply excellent. It was very nice to see familiar faces and we genuinely felt welcome (back!). Sandro was very welcoming and helpful and he gave us some great restaurant recommendations on the island! The staff went the extra mile to give us the same suite as the one we had in May (Room 605). The food at the restaurant was fantastic! The hotel is truly well managed and Naiara Gomez Bermejo (General Manager) does an excellent job! Congratulations! Hacienda del Conde is our one and only choice in Tenerife! We will be back in April next year!

This delightful hotel set in a number of floors on the steep hillside just outside Buenavista del Norte is a marvellous place to come and relax, well away from the bright neon lights in the south. The architecture is simply stunning and so well thought out..the reception area gives an inkling of what is to come. Plenty of space on the terraces and around the main pool..the hotel invites you to just relax and while away the days. The spa and gym will give you all you need in terms of fitness and treatments.If you are here for the golf that too is a joy but beware..the steep undulating course clings to the hillside as it tumbles right down to the ocean. Don’t carry your clubs..a golf cart is essential! The clubhouse is ultra modern with a hint of Frank Lloyd Wright, and if you choose to eat in the bar/restaurant you will not be disappointed ( you can charge the cost directly to your hotel account). What really makes this a special place is the way they go the extra mile for the guests..from small practical touches like tea and hot drinks with cakes and pastries in the lounge adjacent to reception to the ‘ nothing is too much trouble’ attitude of every single member of staff. There is a pool bar adjacent to the main pool which serves a good choice of meals and snacks all day. Meals in the main buffet restaurant are offered with a wide range of options.We felt truly spoilt during the entire 10 days we were there. Think carefully if you’re looking for an action filled holiday..this is not what this hotel is designed for. It’s there to wrap its arms around you and to let you luxuriate and feel special.

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the beginning of September and it was fantastic. He played twice on the golf course which was absolutely stunning and very easy to organise. The salt pool on the cliff side was a particular hilight. The staff gave a superb service: Sandro at reception took care of everything and you really did not have to lift a finger, Helen in the spa gave me an excellent manicure, Yurena in the restaurant Salazar was so knowledgeable about the food and wine and kindly accommodated my dietary requirements with no fuss. The most relaxing holiday we've had in a long time - thank you!
