"Absolutely beautiful place for a get away. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The swimming pools are the highlight of the resort. There are peacocks roaming the grounds that are nice to look at. They do make a lot of noise but, it's not so intrusive to be a deal breaker. There is a very nice cafe for coffee and snacks. The restaurant is very large with nice views of the city and the pools. The food is passable but not great. There are places to rent for private family gatherings and you can bring in your own food. Overall a very nice place and I would recomend it as a nice place to relax and enjoy swimming."

"Because we were in General Santos when a 7.8 earthquake hit and because the government put out warnings about travel through mountains due to potential landslides and near the water because of potential tsunamis, we requested a cancellation and refund. We were denied by the hotel. Our reservation on the following night in CDO was kindly cancelled and refund provided by the hotel there. I was quite surprised that the Hotel Valencia didn’t give us grace at a time of obvious calamity. Next time I’m passing through Valencia, I’ll stay somewhere else"
