The craftsman bungalow is brand new and built by a local builder- he put his heart and soul into this house. There are so many fine touches-locally crafted walnut front door, custom walnut countertops, stained glass window, the list goes on and on. The spaceThis 1200 sq ft custom high-end home is 2 bedroom, 2 full bathroom.Each bedroom has a king bed with luxurious linens and towels, a 43 inch HD Roku TV, and an attached full bathroom. The living room has a pullout couch with queen mattress and a 65 inch HD Roku TV. (Please note we do not have cable, but you can log on to your streaming channels such as Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, etc).And if you love to cook (we sure do!), we have a well stocked kitchen with all of the cooking items you might need! We have a crockpot, blender, food processor, toaster, Cuisinart drip coffee maker, electric tea kettle, pottery barn dishes and glasses.Kick back and enjoy our relaxing covered front porch. It has 2 rocking chairs and a seating area with a sofa and 2 comfy chairs. Perfect place to enjoy that glass of wine or a morning cup of coffee! The backyard is fully fenced in with a privacy fence- perfect for kids and pups! Enjoy outdoor dining on the back flagstone patio with a gas grill and an outdoor dining table, seating 6. Or enjoy s'mores under the stars with a 30 inch fire pit with surrounding 4 adirondack chairs. All decor is high end and the house is meticulously decorated with quality furnishings. Please note that the Vermont casting stove indoors is not for use for guests.The house is 1.1 miles from downtown Black Mountain and an 18 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Close to hiking and waterfalls, the Blitmore Mansion, the Blue Ridge Parkway and so much more in the North Carolina mountains!Guest accessYou will get sent a personalized code for our wifi lock before check in. We have two separate parking pads- one at front that has space for 2 cars and one in back for 1 car, next to the back yard. Please note we have a shared drive, so please only park in the parking pads and do not block the driveway.We do have ring cameras facing the front and back porches- just to keep an eye on the property while we are away!We highly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance as a hedge against unseen circumstances that may affect travel plans. If you choose to cancel your reservation, the cancellation policy per the rental agreement will apply. No refunds for inclement weather.Other things to note1. Quiet hours after 9pm. We have the LOVELIEST neighbors, some with children and work from home, so please be respectful and keep outdoor noise to conversational level after 9pm. The main bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed, attached bathroom, and a large closet. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided in both bathrooms. The queen bedroom offers a sitting space and a closet. A hall bathroom with a tub and shower accommodates the queen room and the 3rd bedroom. The 3rd bedroom has a trundle daybed (2 single mattresses) and a small futon. Please note that the futon is only 57 inches long and might prove challenging for guests over 5'7". You may choose to ride share over since the accessibility to the center of Black Mountain is only 1.2 miles away, the grocery store is less than 2 miles and the town of Montreat is only 1 mile away. If you’re going to take full advantage of the Blue Ridge Mountains and all western Carolina has to offer a vehicle will be extremely beneficial. Downtown Asheville has so many amazing places from local breweries to arts and entertainment. Don’t forget to travel south to visit Lake Lure or head north for a day at Grandfather Mountain and maybe a stop at the caves in Linville falls.
