Whispering Pines Cottages

Lovely location, clean, practical, private. Very comfy able for two people. Only slight r.eservation kitchen working so ace a little small. We liked to buy locally and cook some of the time. No dishwasher but not an issue.

Fabulous location, perfect to watch the Sun & Moon rise. Wonderful accommodation, clean beyond expectation! The property is 5 to 10 minutes from everywhere! We would highly recommend Whispering Pines to anyone looking to stay on the Island.

Deceptive photos; bait and switch, argumentative Disappointing, belligerent reception staff. We chose this property because the photos of the bathroom showed a hand held shower head and large shower area - important to us for showering our toddler. However, the room we got had a fixed shower head and a shower about half the size as shown in the photo. I provided this feedback to the person at reception (at Borry's) and instead of an apology, she blamed me, saying "unless I mentioned it, they have no way of knowing". I was in disbelief, and said, "you didn't advertise your photos were deceptive, so how would I know to tell you"? She then escalated things and kept arguing and justifying, saying the rooms are being renovated, and there are separate photos for each room (no, this is false, the photos show only the renovated rooms and there is only one type of room) and the room I was given had not been renovated. So she basically admitted their bait and switch, showing the renovated bathroom in the photos and giving me something else. I have uploaded photos showing the listing and the actual. She would have continued on until I said "I didn't come here to argue." A simple apology would have been the ethical thing to do - instead it's amazing how some people are so self righteous they have to blame and argue. Everyone else on the island was lovely, just this person choosing to blame the customer. There's no doubt in my mind they broke ACCC laws here and are just deceptive.

This place is heaven on earth, so quiet, peaceful, paradise in the pacific. Very well equipped cabin with magnificent views across the valley. It was very hard to leave to go home. The host are amazing and very friendly. It’s truly amazing. Can’t wait to return.

Great cabin and excellent facilities, thoroughly recommend staying at Whispering Pines. Quiet and only a short drive to Burnt Pine. The provision of extra things like a picnic basket and beach towels was certainly a surprise, even a French press in the kitchen.

We hit the jackpot with this accommodation. Clean, well outfitted, and a bonus of a lovely breeze up the valley so lack of aircon not an issue for us. There is no aircon anywhere on the island. The view was marvellous. No flies or mosquitos to contend with.

Just a lovely place to stay. Stunning views across the valley with an easterly aspect from cottage 2. If you’re up early you can get a great photo of the sunrise. Very well equiped, wanted for nothing. Tea, coffee and milk were a pleasant surprise as we didn’t know they were included. Had a great BBQ on the front deck. Gently breeze kept cottage nice and cool. Would highly recommend. We will certainly be staying here when next we visit.

Perfect quiet location. The place was clean with everything we needed. The staff that met us at the airport were really friendly and helpful. We would recommend Whispering Pines to anyone looking for a slightly removed, but very easily accessible quiet location.
