The Coasting Pilot Hotel

The hotel serves delicious home made food and the staff went above and beyond to be extra helpful. It was a delightful find on a miserable and rainy day. We really enjoyed our very reasonably priced meals there and would highly recommend a visit.

We’ve often pop in at least once a month, if possible. The food & staff are top notch indeed. Today was no exception I can assure you all. We both had chicken Sunday dinner, which indeed was perfect in every way. My Darling, sadly is a coeliac which I can assure you, it was no problem whatsoever. The meal has been changed from the norm tureens, to a full plate full. Scrumptious to say the least. I’ve always said of “The Coasting Hotel” why go elsewhere, when you have the best here. Well done everybody 100% in all departments. “Thank You” we enjoyed your hospitality, as did our canine pal Enzo.

We booked Sunday lunch for 2 & our dog. Digs are only allowed in the bar which didn't bother us. Everyone from the locals to the staff were very friendly and all made a big fuss of our dog. I had roast beef and my husband had turkey. Both meals were plentiful and tasty homemade cooking. The chef even bought our dog a Sunday roast of his own! I had apple pie & ice cream for pudding and that was very yummy 😋. The chef asked if we enjoyed our meals to which replied yess! As she walked away she said "i was asking the dog" 🤣🤣. All in all a lovely Sunday lunch was had by all and the friendly staff and great service will see us going back.
