GGuest UserThe location is excellent, right in Nampo. For those of us who prioritize convenience for shopping and dining over beach activities, this spot was perfect. Getting around from the hotel is incredibly easy. Bus stops are just a 2-4 minute walk away, and the subway station is about a 5-minute stroll. It's very close to Busan Station, and a taxi to the airport is reasonably priced at around 15,000 KRW.
The rooms are quite spacious by Korean standards, and the facilities are impressive. Our room even featured a bidet and a bathtub, plus a complimentary mini-bar. A nice touch was the hotel's coffee, which was surprisingly good. Breakfast was delivered to our door at 8:30 AM daily, typically consisting of cereal with milk or yogurt, scones, croissants, sandwiches, and boiled eggs. The taste was pretty decent.
There's an incredibly delicious pork soup with rice (Dwaeji Gukbap) nearby – make sure to ask the front desk for directions! It's a small local eatery not found on major review apps like Dianping, popular exclusively with locals, and very affordable at 10,000 KRW per serving. At the intersection, there's also an excellent BBQ restaurant. We visited it twice; it was clearly a local favorite, as we didn't spot any tourists. A portion of meat is 10,000 KRW. The two of us girls ordered three portions the first time and four the second!
The only drawback of the hotel was a slight lack of attentiveness in service. Firstly, the hotel provides two complimentary Americanos daily. For our three-night stay, that should have totaled six cups, but mysteriously, all six were marked as consumed even though we only drank four. Secondly, when we switched rooms mid-stay, a paper bag containing various personal items disappeared. This included my own facial tissues, cleansing wipes, and some damp personal items wrapped in tissue paper that were placed on top. Everything was gone. I simply can't understand why my neatly packed belongings would be just thrown out.
Despite these few drawbacks, I would still highly recommend this hotel.

FFLYingPIGGYMy second time staying here since my first visit to Busan in Dec 2024. The service, cleanliness and privacy level remain very good. I enjoyed the daily breakfast. Despite staying for 6 nights, I never felt bored over the breakfast choices served; contrary, I felt spoilt with choices. There are 2 washing machines, 2 laundry dryers, 1 microwave oven, 1 water dispenser at the lobby. I don’t even need to boil water in my room to make a cup of hot tea. The hotel also provide cleaning oil, cleanser, toner and lotion for daily use. Fresh towels are provided daily though housekeeping is done only after certain number days of stay. The only issue we had was the twin room is a little too small. We have difficulty finding space to put our two luggage without blocking the walking path in the room. I’m ok with the toilet space but my friend felt it’s cramp. The location is definitely good, with bus-stops and metro nearby, it’s just a stone throw away to the hotel. There are convenient stores, Starbucks, Olive Young and eateries around the hotel, very convenient to get anything you want. The hop-on-hop-off city bus starts right in front of the hotel. Also, I love one of the eateries at the back street there which serves tasty noodles at reasonable price. Overall, I’m happy staying here despite a little more pricey than other hotels.

GGuest UserMissing Items After Mandatory Housekeeping – Important for Future Guests to Know
I stayed at this hotel for four days, and I would like to share an experience that future guests may want to be aware of.
When we booked the room, we were never informed that housekeeping was mandatory after three nights. We only learned about this rule at check-in, when the front desk told us we had to select one day for cleaning. We originally preferred to decline housekeeping entirely, but we were told this was not allowed and that choosing a cleaning day was required by hotel policy.
After the mandatory cleaning, several personal items went missing from our room, including two pairs of leggings, a white T-shirt, and one dress. These were newly purchased items and not something we would have accidentally thrown away.
When we contacted the hotel after returning home, the staff told us they had taken photos before cleaning, but there is no continuous video showing the condition of the room before entry. Because of this, it is impossible for us to verify what happened to our belongings. We also requested hallway CCTV, but the hotel explained that guests cannot access CCTV without a police warrant.
Although the hotel apologized for the inconvenience, the lack of transparency and the fact that we were required to accept housekeeping we did not want make this situation very concerning. It would help all future guests if the hotel clearly communicated mandatory policies before booking, not only at check-in.
This review is not written with anger, but to share our experience honestly so other travelers can make informed decisions, and so the hotel can improve its procedures to prevent similar issues in the future.
強制清潔後物品遺失－未來客人須知

預訂房間時，我們從未被告知入住三晚後必須進行一次強制清潔。直到辦理入住時，前台才告知我們必須選擇一天進行清潔。我們原本想完全拒絕清潔服務，但被告知飯店規定不允許，必須選擇清潔日期。
強制清潔後，我們房間裡遺失了幾件個人物品，包括兩件打底褲、一件白色T恤和一條洋裝。這些都是新買的，我們不可能不小心丟掉。
回家後我們聯繫了飯店，工作人員告訴我們他們在清潔前拍了照片，但沒有監視器錄影記錄房間清潔前的狀況。因此，我們無法確認物品究竟發生了什麼事。我們也要求查看走廊的監視器錄影，但飯店解釋說，沒有警方的搜查令，客人無法查看監視器錄影。
儘管飯店就此造成的不便、缺乏透明度以及要求我們接受客房清潔服務表示歉意，但我們並不想讓這件事鬧得太大。如果飯店能在預訂前就明確告知所有強制性規定，而不僅僅是在辦理入住時才告知，這將對所有未來的客人有所幫助。

GGuest Userparking is very convenient as the carpark is right beside the hotel. across the road you have many petrol/charging/lpg kiosks also for easy refuel before returning the rental car. the location of the hotel is very near to the central where late night shopping/food are everywhere. right outside the hotel there is a bus stop too. the room is clean with no smell at all, aircon new and working well. front desk is very friendly also. overall a good experience. driving to the airport is not far as well within 30 mins even during late morning hours.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the beach and has the sea view. These were two important requests for me. The room is big enough. The breakfast is ok but we preferred to eat out. They took out the trash every day and made a bed once, it was all about cleaning. They do not renew shower detergents. The receptionist is welcoming and speaks English well. And again, the area is perfect for tourism and go to the beach. There is a laundry room there in the B2 floor.

From check-in to check-out, my stay was smooth, and I found the hotel to be a solid mix of comfort, cleanliness, and character.
Check-in & First Impressions:
Upon arrival, I was greeted by courteous front desk staff who spoke basic English and were very accommodating. The check-in process was fast and efficient, with minimal hassle. The lobby itself was tastefully decorated—nothing extravagant, but definitely welcoming. It had a quirky charm that felt a bit more boutique than your average budget hotel.
Room:
I stayed in a standard double room, which was surprisingly spacious. The decor was modern and minimalist, with a few unique touches that gave it personality. The bed was large and comfortable, with clean, crisp linens. I appreciated the small details like a well-lit vanity area, USB charging ports, and a mini-fridge. The room also had good soundproofing, which meant I could rest peacefully even though the hotel is near a busy area.
The bathroom was spotless, equipped with a full set of toiletries, and had a surprisingly luxurious rainfall shower. Water pressure was excellent, and hot water was consistent throughout my stay. Some rooms also offer jacuzzis or bathtubs, depending on the tier you book, which I thought was a great value.

While Hotel Elephant isn’t a full-service luxury property, it offers everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There’s a vending machine area, complimentary bottled water, and in-room amenities like a kettle, coffee, and tea. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, even during peak hours. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or gym, but there are plenty of cafes and convenience stores nearby to make up for it.
Housekeeping was thorough and respectful. My room was cleaned daily, and towels and toiletries were replenished without needing to request anything.
Location:
This is arguably one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s just a short walk from a nearby subway station, which made commuting to places like Haeundae Beach, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangalli very easy. There are also tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops within walking distance. Whether you’re into street food or want to try Busan’s famous seafood, you’ll find great options nearby. If you’re into nightlife, there’s also plenty happening in the area, but thankfully, the hotel itself remains peaceful at night.
Staff & Hospitality:
Every staff member I interacted with was polite and eager to help. While not everyone was fluent in English, they made an effort to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even helping me book a cab using local apps. Their hospitality made the stay feel much warmer and more personal than I expected.
Overall Impression:
Hotel Elephant may not be a five-star hotel, but it delivers more than what you’d expect from its price point. It’s clean, cozy, and well-located—perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even friends on a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re visiting Busan and want a reliable place to stay that offers good value without compromising on comfort, this hotel is a solid pick. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Busan.

GGuest UserFantastic location. Hotel is located right behind the main shopping street is a quiet area. Basic amenities like auto refilling drinking water machine and coffee machine. There is also a small 'hole in the wall' shop just outside the hotel selling fabulous French crepes.
Only complaint is the lousy attitude shown by the manager. I booked for 3 nights with another extension for 4 nights (7 nights in total). I stated that I use a mobility device because of my disability in the booking. During check in, upon seeing me, he made feel very unwelcome. He told me to find other hotels and asked me to cancel my booking, claiming that my mobility device will spoil the room. Such a ludicrous remark to make. We had a heated argument eventually as I was very upset a him for being discriminatory. i insisted in staying as it was fully paid. It was my first time in Busan, thus I don't wish to spend my holiday looking for hotels. Btw, the room was perfectly fine. Never felt so unwelcome in my life.
Location is its only saving grace. However there are numerous hotels around the area after we got to know the place better.

GGuest UserI stayed on the 4th floor, where the shared living room and dining area are located. The rooms are much, much smaller than in the photos, and the walls are very thin — you can easily hear the neighbors, especially from the dining area. Although there’s a rule to be quiet from 10 PM to 8 AM, it’s not respected (this is not the host’s fault).
The hostel is right in the city center, in a very lively area (bars, restaurants, karaoke, concerts, etc.), so if you’re looking for quiet, bring noise-canceling headphones, or earplugs!
Breakfast is simple: cereal, milk, and instant coffee sachets… 🫠😂 Better to go and have a real local breakfast just 2 minutes away.

J’ai séjourné au 4ᵉ étage, là où se trouvent le salon et la salle à manger partagée. Les chambres sont beaucoup, beaucoup plus petites que sur les photos, et les murs sont très fins, on entend facilement les voisins, surtout depuis la salle à manger. Malgré la règle demandant le silence entre 22h et 8h, elle n’est pas respectée (ce n’est pas la faute de l’hôte).
L’hostal est situé en plein centre-ville, dans un quartier très animé (bars, restaurants, karaokés, concerts, etc.), donc si vous cherchez du calme, prévoyez des écouteurs ou un casque réduction ou des bouchons d’oreille !
Le petit déjeuner est simple : céréales, lait et café instantané en sachet…. 🫠😂 allez plutôt prendre un vrai petit dej local à deux minutes à pied.
Machine à laver payante, pas de sèche-linge.

私は4階に宿泊しました。そこには共用のリビングとダイニングがあります。部屋は写真よりずっとずっと小さく、壁もとても薄いので、隣の部屋や特にダイニングからの音がよく聞こえます。22時から8時まで静かにするルールがありますが、守られていません（ホストのせいではありません）。
ホステルは市の中心にあり、とても賑やかなエリアです（バー、レストラン、カラオケ、コンサートなど）。静かに過ごしたい方は、ノイズキャンセリングヘッドホンや耳栓を持って行くことをおすすめします！
朝食はシンプルで、シリアル、牛乳、インスタントコーヒーだけです… 🫠😂 2分歩けば本格的な地元の朝食を食べられるので、そちらがおすすめです。
洗濯機は有料で、乾燥機はありません。
場所も部屋もとても清潔 ✅
ベッドはとても小さいです（私は身長170cm 😅）。
地下鉄、クリニック、ショッピングに便利な立地です。👍
