Sunset Hotel

Extremely satisfied! The location is right on the bustling Haeundae main road, close to the beach. You just cross the road and you're there. Going further inland, dining and shopping are super convenient! A five-minute walk along the beach takes you to X The Sky building, Club O D Oasis, and further on to Mipo and the Sky Capsule train. It's also very close to the subway! Taxis are plentiful too! Incredibly convenient! I stayed for three days, and they replenished water and emptied the trash every day. The only minor issue was that both sinks drained very slowly. I think it's because it's so close to the beach, and everyone comes back to the hotel to wash up. It didn't affect the overall perfection though! This will be my first choice next time I visit!

This was my first stay at the Sunset Hotel, and its location is absolutely fantastic. I booked an executive sea-view room, and as soon as I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious, and more importantly, it had a decent-sized balcony with a sea view. While the room felt a little dated, the overall impression was still good and quite clean. Housekeeping was also excellent; my room was spotless every day during my three-day stay. The mini-fridge in the room even had adjustable temperature, which was great for chilling drinks until they were ice-cold – perfect for refreshing sips. I was also surprised that the front desk staff could speak Chinese. The hotel breakfast was very authentic, which I really enjoyed; it seemed to cater more to Korean tastes. There was some variety in the breakfast options over my three-day stay, showing that thought was put into it. The lady providing breakfast service was especially friendly and always greeted us politely. I'd say this hotel is a mid-range option, offering great value for money. The executive sea-view room, in particular, is definitely worth staying in. Highly recommended!

The hotel is located in a very noisy area, similar to Gwanqian Street, but it's close to the beach. The front desk is on the 9th floor, and you don't need a room card to access the guest room floors, which feels unsafe. Downstairs, there are other restaurants and bars. I'd only recommend this hotel for 'special forces' travelers (i.e., those on a budget and not picky) with friends. The rooms are similar to a Home Inn. The latex pillow was a nice touch! However, while I don't mind that housekeeping doesn't make the bed, they shouldn't take my slippers, which I brought myself! They're not like the flimsy, paper-thin slippers your hotel provides! I was so speechless! My initial impression of this hotel was decent, considering the price point – over 1,000 during peak season, which is acceptable for a first-time visit to Busan, especially for a 'special forces' traveler who doesn't care much about the environment. Next time I go to Busan, I'll definitely stay in Seomyeon! I love the vibe there!
