GGuest UserWe absolutely loved the hotel. We stayed 4 nights and were impressed with the decor of the hall once we entered the hotel. The room was spacious and the staff were attentive. The stay came with free breakfast which we felt was too oily for our taste.
Other than that, they served different desserts daily from 6-9pm as well. Free laundry services were provided which was very much appreciated!
All in all, this hotel is definitely value for money, and we can see why it is so highly rated with over 10k reviews.

As an established hotel, it boasts a beautiful classical aesthetic. The rooms are spacious and very picturesque.

Our hotel butlers, Themis, Fancy, and Tommy, delivered truly exceptional and friendly service. Indeed, every staff member, from the doormen and restaurant servers to the concierge team, was remarkably polite and attentive.
## Breakfast
The breakfast was also delicious, presented in a semi-buffet format. A great convenience was the option to order dishes directly from your table if you preferred not to get up.

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!)
The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all.
A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome.
I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone.
After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out.
I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

MM52806****The hotel service was excellent. They offered complimentary desserts every evening, and any issues we had were promptly addressed. The price was also very reasonable, offering great value for money. We originally booked a family room, but upon check-in, we were upgraded to a room with two king-size beds, which allowed us to sleep very comfortably. Most importantly, they provided a drying rack, which was incredibly convenient for doing laundry during our multi-day stay. We didn't book breakfast initially, but when we decided to add it later, they still gave us a discount. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
The only minor drawback was its distance from the metro station, over 500 meters away, which took almost 10 minutes to walk, especially with young children. We also noticed that booking through Ctrip was slightly more expensive than elsewhere.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel facilities are very new, and the rooms are quite spacious. Its location near Datang Everbright City and Joy City is a definite plus. However, being right at the entrance of a major scenic area and on a one-way street makes getting around a bit inconvenient, especially in the evenings. This is something for other travelers to keep in mind.
Despite the bustling location, the hotel itself was quiet, and I had a good rest. The only real downside was the breakfast, which had a very limited selection.
What's more, for some reason, even the restaurant staff during breakfast were asking us for positive reviews. If this is for staff evaluation, the hotel should really consider guest privacy and approach guests at appropriate times without being intrusive. Plus, the breakfast staff generally don't have direct interactions with guests beyond serving food, so it felt quite abrupt and out of place.
On a positive note, both the front desk and housekeeping services were excellent.

GGuest UserThe location is incredibly convenient! Right outside Exit B of Longshouyuan Station on Metro Line 2, you'll find the hotel. This was a lifesaver for someone like me who easily gets lost! It's quick and easy to get to the Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter, and the high-speed train station.
The hotel definitely has a classic, 'old-money' charm. Initially, I thought the facilities might be a bit dated, but they are actually very well-maintained. Overall, the service was truly commendable. As soon as you approach the hotel, staff are there to help with your luggage, and the front desk handled things very smoothly. What truly impressed me was the exceptional daily housekeeping. Whether we were in the room or not, they would consistently come to replace disposable amenities and towels, and tidy up.
Another highlight for me was the heated swimming pool. We brought our child on this trip, and they went there every single day! Even though it was a bit chilly these past few days, the heated pool meant it didn't affect our enjoyment at all.
Overall, it's definitely worth recommending. It might not be the best fit for young people seeking the latest tech gadgets or a super modern feel, but it's very suitable for family trips or business travel.

MMissBee2023Really great hotel, excellent location right next to the Bell Tower. Amazing service: staff were extremely helpful, and used translation apps when their English failed them, so language wasn’t an issue. We got waters, a fruit plate and bookmarks on check out, and the staff were helpful in our other enquiries. We were able to check in early, and they offered help with the Terra-cotta warriors also.
It didn’t show up on Apple Maps for us - however we entered the address from Trip and that led us and the taxi there! There is another “Grand Mercure” about a 30minute walk away, so worth noting that when you type Mercure into maps it goes to that. But the location is amazing- close to the main central junction with the Bell Tower, 5 minutes from the Muslim Quarter, and various takeaways/bakeries/convenience stores right underneath the hotel.
We definitely recommend!

GGuest UserThe facilities were good, staff were generally helpful and nice. Very clean environment; generally has what you need. Very conveniently located. Some of the staff at the front desk are a bit too immature and could act a bit more professional. Apparently, they find it funny for you ask them for water; ask them a few more times and they would giggle and laugh behind your back and make fun of you; they might even horse around with you if Mandarin is not your first language and you don't speak as natively as they do. I made an add on booking for an extra night. If you need them to do anything towards the end of your stay, they might withhold service at the front desk until you give them a perfect rating; they wouldn't check me back in the hotel until I left a good rating/comment for my first booking. They forgot I that I could also rate / comment for my second booking. Basically a bunch of kids. Otherwise, hotel management seems fine. Pretty clean, the staff were generally polite.

YYusman_YusofThe hotel is located near the Huimin Jie, where you can find all the halal foods. Overall the hotel is clean and big and it has all the things you need for your stay.
They offer a welcome plate of fruits and veggies. Free tea time and noodles for supper. I would like to give a shout out to one of the staff named Mdm Guo Yangli for being warm and welcoming and acommodating to my needs. Thank you!

The front desk staff were very welcoming and enthusiastic, and the lobby manager was also highly professional.
