Rio de Janeiro Business Hotels

The Atlantic Ocean is right outside the window, and the rolling waves and the birds and airplanes flying overhead are a beautiful sight in themselves. There are bicycles available for free rent for 2 hours outside the hotel, and riding along the dedicated bike path along the shore would be very pleasant, but unfortunately I didn't have time to try it.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming, professional, and perfectly organized. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The staff was kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. Highly recommended – I would definitely come back!

A very average hotel experience. I will start with the slight complaints: The room was not perfectly clean (the bed skirting was stained, for example), but the sheets, pillows, and mattress were clean. The hotel was a bit loud at times, as you can hear other guests in the hall from inside the rooms. The room service was very slow, and my fiancée’s order was messed up the first time (she recieved the wrong item). However, the kitchen quickly made things right by sending the correct order. My food was alright, and she really liked what she ordered. The room was a decent size. It had a full-sized couch, large bathroom, and a double bed in the room we booked. The shower was amazing. It was the highlight of the trip for me. The room had a view of The Redeemer which was nice. We booked this hotel mostly due to its proximity to Santos Dumont airport; it was perfect for us in that regard. If you have an early flight from SDU, this is an easy hotel to recommend.

Couldn’t fault the hotel, from pick up at the airport, through checkin and restaurant it was faultless.  Rooms are basic and comfortable, restaurant and bar menu was varied enough to cater for most and breakfast was a broad range, fresh and of good quality.  Reception staff were very helpful and swiftly answered any question.  Finally the addition of a small gym and decent clean swimming pool were nice added bonuses, would definitely book this hotel again …

Great stay! Facilities are a bit less taken care off for a Novotel. In the average I had a very pleasant stay, with a very amiable staff. I do recommend due to the favorable rates and location close to Rio exit to Minas Gerais that makes traveling back easier and with less traffic.

A very well-maintained hotel. Wonderfully clean room. Fantastic breakfast (with a wide selection of meals), and a shuttle service from the hotel to the beach, shopping center, and metro station. I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Due to my late return flight, I was allowed a late checkout until 3 PM at no extra cost! Scandinavian standards at a very reasonable price! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The room was really good for the price and was cleaned daily, which I really appreciated. The location is about a 30 to 40-minute drive from most of the main spots in Rio, so it’s quite convenient. There is a security guard outside the hotel 24/7, which made the place feel very safe. I would definitely come again. The only downside was that the check-in staff were quite slow, but apart from that everything was great.

Hygiene: Relatively clean, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing. Environment: The scenery is excellent and definitely worth a visit. Service: The service is quite thoughtful, and I felt a sense of warmth while abroad. Facilities: Quite complete. I'll definitely go back next time; the experience was great.

The hotel is located near the main street, but there are few people outside at night. It is very close to the local airport and can be reached in just a dozen minutes' walk. The cleanliness of the hotel is average, but acceptable.

We booked this hotel in Nov at an inflated price of $1500 USD for 4 nights assuming there'd be rooftop access on NYE since the hotel website didn't call out a ticketed event for that night. When we arrived, the staff told us it was in fact a ticketed event for an additional $300 USD. Perhaps our oversight but we scowered the website before booking at such a high price and it wasn't there. The manager was very helpful in accommodating a cancellation if needed, ultimately we were too tired to pack and unpack again and waste another day in transit so we stayed and bought the tickets. Check in is 2pm. We arrived at 1pm and they said they had a room for us. It wasn't ready so we went to the pool where again, service was wonderful. Front desk gave us a tour of 2 rooms to choose from which was great, but then msgd me and said they'd have a diff room ready at 2:30. We went down at 3pm and the room changed yet again and the new room still wasn't ready. We got a room with no apologies at 4pm. The room was standard. Strong cleaning smell but decent. The shower hose didn't stay in place. The shower drain did not work at all - we had to kick the water to the corner each time for it to drain or pools of water stayed until the next day. The sink also didn't drain. The toilet stopped flushing. We had a plate with one chocolate on it from NYE which by the next day was covered in ants. We are very tidy girls and give some grace for older hotels to have some flaws, but the experience for the price we paid made us appreciate the airbnbs we'd stayed at before checking in here. Location is great, gym and pool are great, but not worth the $ for NYE or Carnival.
