Dali City Business Hotels

The whole place smells of pleasant, earthy notes, and the value for money is absolutely incredible! My biggest surprise on my Dali trip was the Yuecheng Hotel! The room had great natural light, the facilities were new, and the concierge was super attentive, helping us plan our itinerary. It’s close to the ancient city but not noisy. You can book this with your eyes closed – you won't regret it!

Facilities: The room is spacious and equipped with smart features. Cleanliness: It's neat and clean, and the room overall is great. Laundry and drying facilities are convenient. Service: Excellent! The owner is very welcoming, providing recommendations for good food and fun activities nearby. They helped us avoid many pitfalls and saved us from bad experiences.

Our stay here was truly lovely. The front desk staff were very friendly during check-in, and the process was quick. They proactively informed us about breakfast times and were happy to answer any questions we had, without just going through the motions. Upon entering the room, our first impression was how clean it was; the floors, tabletops, and even window sills were spotless. There was no musty or smoke smell. The bedding was fresh and clean, and the mattress was just the right firmness. After tiring days of sightseeing, it was great to come back and get a really good night's sleep. The room size was adequate, the lighting was comfortably bright, and the desk and power outlets were well-equipped, making it convenient for handling occasional small tasks. The bathroom had good wet/dry separation, and the hot water came on quickly with stable pressure, making for a pleasant washing and showering experience. The soundproofing was generally good; once the door was closed, noise from the hallway and street was barely audible, ensuring an undisturbed night's rest. [smiley face]

First the location is fine and service was great! Quick responses from staff WeChat and cleaning staff were very prompt and friendly! Everything was great except the facility amenities like the gym and laundry room was disappointing. It’s obvious the building quite is old. The gym didn’t have any working equipment and the drying machines didn’t work well. I tried drying my clothes for 3 hours and they were still wet so I gave up. Forgot to take pictures of the room but here’s the nearby lake. Best part of this hotel is the cleaning staff were great ladies!

This hotel in Xiaguan Town really offers great value for money. It's a high-value hotel with spacious rooms and new facilities. The bed, in particular, is incredibly comfortable, meeting a quasi-five-star hotel standard. The smart assistant, Xiaodu, brings a lot of high-tech convenience, and the projector is excellent – clearly a lot of thought went into it. The in-ceiling speakers provide good sound too! Plus, it's only a 10-minute walk to Erhai Lake.

The location is really good, 10 minutes from Dali Train Station, halal restaurant within 500m and 1 minute walking distance to supermarket. The hotel also provide free washing machine and Dryer at Level 2. Really worth it with what I've paid for ❤️

The hotel is very close to Dali Station, just a few minutes' walk away. The room was upgraded, probably by the front desk lady, as it was very spacious and clean. The only issue was some noise in the morning that disturbed my sleep; I suggest providing disposable earplugs. Otherwise, everything was great, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Dali.

Pros: Near shopping mall and amenities, plenty of restaurants and grocery and clothes to shop Cars can stop directly outside the hotel for drop off and pick up Room is spacious Good hot water shower. Hot water boils very fast and last very long. Bed is very comfy Cons: Not a foreigner friendly hotel Wifi cannot be linked as the wifi uses wechat verification Hotel desk phone unable to use, need to call reception using local number, which will be international call for foreigners Our wall plug was faulty on both side beds. Toilet is not segregated so can smell and hear everything thats happening in the toilet. We had to buy our own air freshener if not we can smell it from our bed. Likewise the cold wind will come in when showering. The shower floor is mosaic tiles, quite sharp if showering barefooted. The curtains cannot close fully. Will have a gap and light coming in from outside at night. Theres a whooshing sound coming from the corridor due to strong wind. Can be heard throughout the night. The light switches are everywhere. Not consolidated into 1 place. Need to move to 3 different light switch areas to switch off different lights. Design is very not user friendly, doesnt make sense at all infact. Main room light is by the second bed, switch off all light button beside first bed. Laundry area was provided but dryer was not working. Clothes unable to dry in cold weather Does not have a non-smoking level Our toilet has a string of poop stuck at the pipe. No matter how many times we flush we can still see it.

Absolutely loved it! From the lobby to the guest rooms, everything felt so welcoming and comfortable. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly.
