SeeeskyI'd stayed at an Atour 3.5 in Qingdao before, so when I saw this new Atour 4.0 opening in Dalian in 2025, and it was close to Dongguan Street, I booked it well in advance, thinking Atour's service is always great for a trip. I had high expectations, but the actual stay was a bit disappointing.
1. I booked a room without breakfast. Last year, during the off-peak season in September at the Qingdao branch, they directly offered complimentary daily breakfast for two throughout my stay, which was a great experience. This hotel only offered one day of complimentary breakfast for two. I tried the coffee machine in the public area downstairs both morning and evening, but for three consecutive days, there was no milk, so I couldn't make coffee properly. The self-service beverage experience was poor.
2. The room hardware was brand new, and basic cleanliness was acceptable. However, there's still a lot of room for improvement in the maintenance of public facilities and service details. The cleaning staff came daily during my stay and did clear the trash, but they only re-made the bed simply, and visible hair on the bed wasn't cleaned.
3. The soundproofing in the room was poor; I could clearly hear noise from next door. On the last night of my stay, the TV inexplicably turned on by itself in the middle of the night for some unknown reason, severely impacting my sleep experience.

Guest UserMy stay here far exceeded my expectations, and I'm extremely satisfied overall. This hotel definitely deserves a big five-star rating! The early check-in process was incredibly smooth. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and very efficient with the paperwork. They even thoughtfully introduced us to the hotel's surroundings and travel routes, making us feel instantly welcomed and comfortable upon arrival. The hotel's location is excellent, making getting around very convenient, whether by taxi, bus, or subway. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, making exploring and sightseeing effortless and time-saving. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby felt comfortable with no unpleasant odors. The elevators operated smoothly, and the hallways were quiet and clean. Our room was spacious, bright, and well-ventilated. As soon as we walked in, we could see that everything was spotlessly clean. Lying on the bed, all my fatigue just melted away. Hot water was consistently available, and there was complimentary bottled water. The service was excellent; any requests were quickly resolved.

Guest UserThe hotel facilities are brand new, clean, and quiet. It's conveniently located with easy access to transportation and plenty of great food options. There's even a morning market nearby where you can experience local culture and buy specialties. They offer free umbrella rentals on rainy days, and the TV allows for screen mirroring from your phone. The mattress is very comfortable, just the right balance of soft and firm, and the hairdryer is powerful and efficient! There's also a self-service laundry room, which is super convenient! The front desk even upgraded my room for free! The only minor issue was that the shower drain was a bit slow; by the second night, after showering for about five minutes, the water started to pool around my feet. It definitely needs some clearing!

colleennnnThe room environment and location were decent. There was a slight hiccup during check-in, but I was really touched by the sincere and professional attitude of the short-haired lady at the front desk who resolved it (her professionalism deserves a thumbs up – hotel service and problem-solving attitude are everything). I hope the hotel will also prioritize guests booking through platforms like Trip.com in the future. If they're only going to focus on guests who book directly through H Rewards and get late check-out privileges, then I suggest they stop taking bookings on online platforms altogether.

旅行女子YUKAI stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is right in front of Dalian Station, and there's a market selling dried fish and a food court for breakfast nearby, making it very convenient!
There are free drinks like orange juice at the front desk.
I was very grateful that laundry was free!
I didn't know how to do it, so I asked a staff member, and they washed and dried my clothes for me and left them in the laundry room.
There are four bottles of water in the room's refrigerator and four more on the desk, and you can get more at the front desk if needed.
Room amenities include a toothbrush, toothpaste, face towel, body towel, shampoo, conditioner, etc. It seems you can also request anything else you're missing from the front desk.
However, there are no pajamas, so I recommend bringing your own.
The front desk staff were incredibly helpful.
I ordered a large quantity of goods from Taobao and had them delivered to the hotel, and they checked to make sure they had arrived. They also taught me how to use Uber. I didn't have a Chinese phone number, but they lent me one, which I was very grateful for. 😊

Pu puOverall, pretty good for peak travel season. There's a convenience store downstairs and the subway station isn't too far. The room was clean and tidy, and there's a snack street nearby downstairs. Thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up!

Guest UserJennie provided excellent service, and check-in was quick and efficient. The hotel is in the city center, and our room overlooked Dalian Labor Park, making getting around very convenient. The front desk even upgraded us to a deluxe suite for free, which was absolutely wonderful. We were extremely satisfied. It definitely improved our impression of Dalian.

The hotel exceeded my expectations! The lobby has a elegant and comfortable ambiance, with complimentary herbal tea always available, making it a very pleasant place to relax. The room was clean and bright, equipped with comprehensive smart facilities. The lighting and air conditioning could be controlled with a single touch, which is a godsend for lazy people. The cleanliness was meticulous, and the service was warm and attentive. Plus, the surrounding transportation is convenient, and it offers great value for money. I highly recommend staying here!

This was my second time choosing this hotel for a layover because it's close to the airport. Last year's stay was great, the price was reasonable, and the receptionist was very friendly and attentive. This year, I booked a standard double room. When I arrived, the receptionist said the window was an interior view window facing the corridor. Since I need a window in my room, I asked how much an exterior view window would cost. I think booking directly through Ctrip usually costs an extra 40+ RMB. Of course, I didn't expect the hotel to upgrade for free, so I asked the receptionist how much extra it would cost. She looked at the computer screen with a calculating expression and said, ”Add 99 RMB.” I said, ”Oh? Isn't it only 40+ RMB?” Then they asked for my ID. I didn't say whether I needed it or not. Seeing that I didn't react, they didn't look at me, still looking at the screen, and said, ”Okay, here's 49 RMB.” I said, ”No need. The original room is fine.” This is supposed to be a proper hotel, but upgrading a room is like a free market?
The TV remote was covered in a thick layer of dust, probably because it wasn't used often and the staff hadn't cleaned it properly. I pressed a button and the TV turned on, but then the remote stopped working. I opened the back cover and saw that the batteries were chewed up and bent out of shape – I wonder how long ago it was? Was it a previous guest or a staff member?
My flight was at 7:30 the next day, so I asked the front desk for a 5:00 wake-up call. The receptionist was very responsible. The hotel doesn't offer airport shuttle service before 7:00, so I hailed a taxi outside the hotel. It was easy to get a taxi.

Guest UserThe ambiance here is elegant and atmospheric. Personally, I really love it; it's a prime example of getting great value for your money. Definitely worth recommending, don't hesitate, just go for it at this price, the value for money is guaranteed. Trust me on this, anything Peter recommends is a must-try, and I wouldn't recommend anything that wasn't top-notch, hahaha 😄
