InterContinental properties consistently deliver, and my stay here exceeded expectations! The front desk processed check-in quickly, and the service was professional and polite. The room was clean and tidy, the mattress was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area with good water pressure. The breakfast offered a rich variety of both Western and Chinese options. The location is convenient for getting around, making it a top choice for business travel. The room matched the pictures perfectly – it was simply decorated but had modern and complete facilities, and everything was spotless. The service was excellent, and the location had convenient transportation. I would definitely choose to stay here again!

A great room apartment, in a relatively good location, not overcrowded and served by some basic services. The facilities are a little limited, they advertise sea equipment available, but in reality we asked at the reception and nobody knew what we were talking about. Also, the pictures show a very nice pool facility just below the building, however it belongs to the Crowne Plaza, and access can be granted only if an additional ~40RMB are paid. Last, the room has mattresses which are very very very think, and it feels like sleeping on wood, and the kitchen is not usable and equipped with even a plate, fork or knife. On the other side, personnel is very kind (even if they speak no English at all) and they tried to help any time they could. Recommended for relatively low-budget traveling, otherwise look for something better, especially beds comfort!

The hotel has been around for a while, but it still retains its charm and character. The large swimming pool and lush greenery make it feel like a secluded paradise. It's a bit far from the city center, about 2 kilometers from Luhuitou Park, but that just adds to its quiet charm, which I personally really enjoyed.

Great value for money, and a very comfortable stay. It's really close to the seafood market, and there's a beautiful river nearby. Overall, a fantastic experience. The front desk service was also excellent. However, the washer and dryer weren't working very well, which could definitely be improved.

I stumbled upon this hotel on Trip.com and honestly didn't have high expectations since my trip was so short. But wow, I was genuinely surprised after checking in! First off, the staff were all incredibly welcoming. They even gave us complimentary welcome fruit during check-in, and I was shocked that for this price point, they also provided disposable bath and face towels – talk about attention to detail! They even allowed a late checkout at 2 PM. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious; large and clean are the key takeaways. The hairdryer was new, and the bedding and toiletries were super soft and comfy, ensuring a great night's sleep. Its central location is also a huge plus, as it's only a 5-minute walk to the beach. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby to explore. Xiaodonghai is just a 10-minute drive away, perfect for some tide-pooling if you have time. The owner also recommended many restaurants that were absolutely fantastic, no duds there. This hotel really spoils its guests with so many freebies and benefits, offering incredible value for money. I gave them five stars across the board for service, hygiene, facilities, and environment. You can't go wrong with this hotel. We'll definitely be back next time; it's spacious, reliable, and comfortable. If you're looking for an excellent and highly-rated hotel, this is the one to choose.

The hotel has excellent facilities, and there's a light rail station right outside, which is really convenient. The room was very clean, and they even have a free laundry room. It's very close to Sanya Bay, just a 15-minute walk to the beach. The lobby bar is also a lovely spot for tea; the atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommend!

The reviews saying the hotel needs renovation are true. It didn't really matter to me, but it did to my colleague on the business trip. He kept noticing flaws in the hotel all the time. The worst impression comes from the lobby where the reception is. It's white, and on white you see everything: dirty door handles, scuffed walls, worn-out benches, and so on. When I was reading reviews, I was surprised there were no photos of the restaurant where breakfast is served. Once I got into that space, I immediately understood why. It's not meant to be a dining area — the design is extremely uncomfortable. But the food was great. About the room: the bed is superb, the pillow too. The balcony is awesome. The motion-sensor lamp in the hallway — meh. The light in the bathroom is completely unsuitable for doing makeup. The pull-out mirror also has bad lighting. The walls in the room are dirty in some places, and the wall decor needs updating. Housekeeping was great, except one day it felt like they brought in dust instead: white socks turned black within 10 minutes. Overall, it's the quality you'd expect based on the reviews. We only booked this hotel because it was close to the convention center where the conference was held. Another disappointment: there were no tea bags or coffee packets in the room. In every other hotel in China in this price range, tea and coffee were provided.

I kept cancelling room stay at Sanya Hua'erxi previously as I am afraid of encountering typhoons. My original plan was to stay at this hotel on 23 August 2025 but I cancelled the room stay because the typhoon shut Sanya down on 24 August 2025 and the high-speed train company informed me that there is no train service between Sanya and Haikou on 24 August. So, two days before I checked-in on 20 September 2025, I decided to re-book the fourth level room at Sanya Hua'erxi after knowing another typhoon will not hit Sanya and Hainan on 21 September 2025. I thank receptionist Xiao Fang for arranging the room that faces Sanya Phoenix Airport runway. The airport is beautiful at night and during sunrise. The bed is comfortable. The toiletries are sufficient although there is no razor. I am very happy that I manage to spot planes on the rooftop and in the room. There are no dog barks and cock crows after the typhoon. The plane noise is bearable although ear bugs are available in the room. I was the only guest to eat complimentary breakfast, a bowl of noodles without any fruit. The place to eat appears to be smaller that what is depicted on Trip.com. There are only two rows of tables and the drinks dispenser machine after the hotel entrance. Sanya Hua'erxi (华尔汐酒店), formerly known as Hua'erxi Beauty Inn (华尔汐美宿), is of ten minutes' taxi ride from Sanya Phoenix Airport. It is located very near to Hinze Hotel. One-way taxi fare from the airport to this hotel costs 24.90 RMB. The hotel does not have its own shuttle van for return airport transfers. The transfers are by private car. Late check-out until 2 pm is not allowed but the guest can still go up to the roof for plane-spotting until 4 pm after storing the luggage at the reception desk. The rooftop is only open when the guest requests Xiao Fang and other receptionist to open the rooftop. There are no official opening hours of the rooftop. There are no lamp posts along Fenghuang Road. It is advisable to only walk outside the hotel after 6 am when the sun rises.

The surrounding environment is beautiful, and the landscaping is excellent. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and the room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was abundant, and the chefs and servers were all very polite. It's not far from the beach, and we went there in the evening, which was lovely. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!
