"It was very strange that the key card here uses a red light and multiple beeps to open the room door. Normally, hotels would just have a green light and one beep to enter. Here, you have to wait for the light and beeps to finish flashing before you can enter. At first, I thought the key card wasn't working, so I went to the front desk to ask for a new card or a different room.
It was very comfortable, and I appreciated the glow-in-the-dark star stickers on the ceiling. However, there were no tissues provided, and no laundry service."

"The staff are so nice. I‘m in the Barclays Arena for a concert and needed the physical ticket to go in which I left in my hotel room because I have a digital ticket. "Hotel is about an 8 min walk to the train station. There is construction nearby which meant we had to walk a short path in the dirt through a park area but not a big issue. Hotel was clean and beds were comfy. No toiletries or amenities though. Not much to eat around here though (nearest restaurant is near the train station). Easy and simple check in/check out procedure."

A fantastic experience! The supermarket and laundromat are within walking distance, and the breakfast service was excellent. Breakfast included my favorite German and European pickles, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, crispy fried bacon, various honeys, a wide selection of breads, four types of yogurt, and a variety of fruits to add to the yogurt, as well as fresh fruit. There were also many unique juice options, and iced and sparkling water choices. A quick greeting from the staff allows you to bring your own coffee or hot tea to the smoking area outside (but remember to return empty cups to the restaurant).

They were welcoming, helpful, and attentive throughout the stay, making the overall experience very pleasant. Anonymous UserThe hotel location is great, just a 5-minute walk from the Hamburg Airport departure level. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I was charged an extra 25 euros for early check-in (2 hours prior). The front desk staff accidentally charged me for the room twice, but after Ctrip intervened, the duplicate charge was refunded a few days later. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, the elegant and professional atmosphere was noticeable.
The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a incredibly comfortable bed and a fantastic view. The location is also ideal for both enjoying the beautiful Alster lake and accessing the city center.
It’s the attentive service and premium amenities that set this hotel apart. I felt thoroughly pampered and would not hesitate to return for another luxurious stay.

Overall the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Two points worth noting that guests should be aware of:
1. The curtain pocket (the part at the top that hides the curtain rail) is not deep enough, so plenty of light comes in around it. For people use to full blackout in bedrooms, this may be disturbing - especially when the sun rises in the morning.
2. As noted in some other reviews, the pillows are EXTREMELY low density. They are so low density, that there is close to zero support once lying on them and the weight of your head has compressed the filling (down I think). I fortunately brought my own pillow, however if I had not, this review score would be much lower as it would have made it difficult for me to sleep the pillows are so unusually soft/airy.

Great hotel in the best location in Hamburg. Very friendly staff. Rooms are top. Parking in deep garage is ideal (although not cheap). In the breakfast room there is even a kids playground. Very recommended!!

Super convenient, whether you're heading to the airport or the city center, it's just a three-minute walk to the S-Bahn. Amazingly, there are three decent-sized supermarkets within 100 meters. For food, Arabian BBQ is the main option (and it's delicious), but there's also an Asian buffet nearby that's around €20 for lunch and €30 for dinner. If you're into fitness, TRU Fitness is close by, and a day pass is only €10, which is a great deal. The hotel doesn't have a water dispenser, and you only get one large complimentary bottle of water, but the front desk said the tap water is drinkable. Conclusion: I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hamburg.

I had another wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Hamburg — this was actually my second time here. The first time I stayed with my mother, and this time with my fiancée, and both experiences have been consistently great.
The service is excellent. The staff are always smiling, very kind, and extremely polite, which really makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Everything about the hotel feels lovely and well taken care of.
The gym is nice and well-equipped, perfect if you want to keep up your routine while traveling. Breakfast is amazing — plenty of options and everything fresh and tasty, definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
The location is also fantastic. It’s close to public transport (there’s a tram stop nearby), making it easy to get around the city. There’s also a great falafel/döner spot close by if you’re looking for a late-night snack, which was a fun bonus. Plus, it’s very close to Westfield, where you can enjoy the scenery and find lots of nice restaurants and shops.
Overall, an amazing stay once again. Thank you to the whole team — I’ll definitely be back.

This was our second time at the Intercity Hotel, because of the great price and super convenient location directly opposite the main train station with S/U-Bahn and bus lines 👍🏼.
The breakfast room is a bit dated, but the staff were friendly and the breakfast was reasonably varied.
Unfortunately, as in every hotel, the bathroom lighting was a disaster and the bathroom itself was very small. And of course, the parking fees of €25 per day… which seems to be the norm in all hotels now.

Nice hotel not far away from the Harbour attractions of Hamburg. The hotel staff was very kind and upon my request changed our room because of a bad odor from the restroom. The breakfast is pretty good with lots of choices. The hotel has an underground parking lot which is 30 euros for visitors and 20 euros for guests, still pretty expensive considering the hotel costs of about a hundred euros per night. But in general a good hotel experience. One bonus is the free drinks of the room bar, including two beers!
