Some of the reviews have been a bit harsh.  The hotel has been encroached upon by rising lake waters, and in the evening waves were crashing on the defenses. Well, placed for a visit to Rusizi NP and the airport,  Food was fine; staff were polite and spoke English.  Quite busy.

It was good to stay with kids. All staff were kind. In the morning we saw hippo walking in front of my balcony. That was amazing.

The resort hotel is right by the lake. The food and accommodation are decent, but the service is the best part – it's truly excellent. They arrange city tours, so you can do whatever you want. It's great value for money.

2 star is for the room, it’s not clean. The AC in standard room was not working and no hot water, they gave us a suite. AC, hot water worked but Black dust on top of all desks, furnitures. Toilet & shower was not clean, toilet sit & cover had visible dirt. Wood floor was not clean. Inside one of the drawer there were water. Service is not good, staffs are not trained properly. Very few can speak English. We did not take room service/cleaning, asked for a towel and it never arrived. It definitely is not a hotel for $150 USD/night for a standard room and no where near a 5 star hotel. Property is nice. They allowed us late check out.
