Breakfast was mediocre; they couldn't replenish everything, and sometimes something was simply gone! The scrambled eggs were disgusting, clearly made with egg powder; no boiled or fried eggs. The rooms and building were grimy. The rooms were warm, but thankfully there was a very dusty fan. The staff was very friendly.

Good basic hotel in great location for Millennium Centre or Glee Club/Cardiff bay restaurants. Generally clean throughout - bed very comfy - although could do with extra pillows. 2 working lifts and no queues. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast good value and varied selection for price. Free parking a bonus.

Cardiff Bay Travelodge is in a great location right near the Marina and there’s a bus service very close by that takes you into Cardiff Central. However, the Travelodge itself is in dire need of an upgrade. It felt so old and rundown. Shame because the staff that work there were all so lovely.

My son and myself booked two double rooms for one night on Sunday 24th August 2025 (bank holiday). The hotel was extremely clean; the beds were large and comfortable. We also ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening and the food was great. There is one member of staff on reception who always goes "above and beyond" for guests - her name is Kim and she should be rewarded for her great service. (It was lovely to see Kim again because she was so kind, helpful and considerate when I experienced a collapse in the hotel lobby in 2016. On my recent stay I recognised Kim and recognised me which is quite something I think.) (On a separate note - Travelodge now does a "full breakfast" for £9.99. I only wanted a coffee and a pastry and in the past you could pay considerably less for a light continental breakfast. I just bought a coffee for £2.75 because I couldn't justify paying a further £7.75 for just one croissant! It think it would be great if Travelodge reintroduced a continental breakfast).

Location for cardiff bay is just a 5 min walk free carpark the rooms are clean and comfy BUT most of all Kim on reception always gives you a warm welcome its always lovely to see her smile everytime we return here. See you soon ❤️

Kim was amazing. Suoer accomodating and helpful with information. Was so nice to see her smiling face at the end of a days travel. Room was nice. Clean but very hot. The small fan was broken and no air-conditioning. Apart from that everything was good and great location with a 20 min walk to Cardiff Central and a 5 min walk to Cardiff Bay.

Hadd a nice stay at a good hotel. Room nice and clean with comfy bed. Staff very friendly. The member of staff on reception that checked us in to the hotel was very friendly and made sure we had everrything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Hotel located within easy walking distance of Cardiff Bay and the city centre. Staff were polite and helpful and the hotel has free on site parking which is a bonus in Cardiff. Bus links are also excellent for the city centre and surrounding area if you choose not to use the car. Hotel is basic but comfortable and good value for money

Lovely stay here, a big thank you to Kim on reception who went above and beyond when we had a problem with outside noise from an Air Vent on our first night. She had us transferred to a room across the way the next day, which was perfect. Please convey our thanks again to her, will definitely be back.
