Agincourt Beachfront Apartments

The good: • Located on a quiet street, super quiet stretch of beach and feels “tucked away” • Contactless check in and out, instructions were clear and emailed in advance • Pool area was great. Good size heated pool (not too hot which was nice), kids loved the space which was lovely with well kept gardens and there was even a trunk of pool toys for them to use. The steps/getting in area was wide enough for my daughter to use it as a bit of a kiddie pool space • We liked having our parking space literally right outside our door which made it easy with the kids • Hearing the waves from the unit was great • The unit had everything you needed, enough towels, kitchen stuff etc and especially important enough garbage bags for one per day • Beds were comfortable • Smithfield is close for groceries and restaurants • Good food from the Thai restaurant and fast delivery The not so good: • It’s a little too quiet if you were to have kids older than ours. Ours are little (3 and 4) and we can make anything fun - older kids would be bored. More suited to older couples • No restaurants around except the one they recommend and not really kid friendly • So many things in the unit we had was broken or damaged in some way. The washing machine was rusted with broken buttons, the dryer handle (and the dryer is on the patio which is odd and detracts from the patio area as you don’t want to sit there with the dryer going), the clothes drying rack, the dimmer switches, the patio doors didn’t latch closed, plastic shutters in the master bedroom, broken toaster lever - all broken. The painting was also damaged from the leaky air conditioner. • The couch is the worst my husband and I have ever sat on. It’s lumpy and just needs to go. Please do this for the sake of future guests. We gave up even trying to sit on it and watched tv on the tv in the second bedroom. • The master bedroom is at the back facing onto the car park. Why isn’t the master that great front room with the sound of the waves and the view? • No water jug to use for the fridge • Black mould in the bathroom definitely needs addressing The biggest issue we had was that it’s not child friendly. There is no chain/privacy latch on the door and kids can just open it and get out (or anyone can come in with the code). The patio doors also don’t have a key or high latch lock and there’s no glass surrounding the patio garden space so not secure for little kids. All up it was ok but it’s obvious the units are individually owned - some have residents that live there - and that made it a little awkward on occasion with our kids in the pool when much older residents just wanted a quiet swim. It also means the quality, upkeep etc of the units vary which is a downside for us. Lovely location, but we wouldn’t stay again.

The location of the property was just perfect some of the best sunrises, sunsets and full moon on the beach. The apartment was very comfortable, and clean, and had everything you need to enjoy Cairns summer.

Another wonderful relaxing 2 weeks spent at the Agincourt Beachfront Apartments, our 3rd year of staying here. This complex is run by resident managers John and Sheree, who are very friendly and helpful. The apartment complex is lovely and quiet, with a large well maintained outdoor pool area and bbq facilities. There is onsite parking and the apartments are ideal for a couple or small family, with a choice of a sea view or garden view. There is a bus stop nearby, with a regular reliable bus service. Clifton Beach shopping centre is located about a 5 mins drive away and has a petrol station, Coles, Butchers, Bakers Delight, Pharmacy, Newsagent, Liquorland, Reject shop, Dominoes and a few more smaller shops. A lovely quiet part of Far North Queensland, this apartment complex is ideally located to nearby attractions but without all the 'hustle and bustle'. Can highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed!

Highly recommend this place. The front desk assistant was very accommodating. The local people was friendly and helpful and lovely walks along walk way and shopping for everything you needed was only a 20 min walk away or you can grab a bus to shop or to Cairns city just outside here All good Thank you Agin court apartments for our lovely stay.

Comfortable, clean and spacious. The propert had good check in instructions, easy undercover parking, well appionted kitchen, comfortable king bed. The pool area looked lovely but we didn't get around to using it.

A beautiful spot, not the hustle and bustle of Palm Cove, the tranquility of Clifton Beach. A real gem, not the first time we’ve visited, would highly vrecommend. It has everything you need and more

Lovely peaceful place on Clifton beach away from all the hustle and bustle. The studio apartment was clean and roomy for a one bedroom apartment. A lift was great especially carrying your luggage and groceries up 2 levels definitely was a bonus. Kitchen was fully equipped, Bathroom was good bit narrow but manageable had a modern washer dryer combo which helps if staying over a week. Only suggestion is changing towel rail position as I hit myself couple times on it Cleaners topped up,changed our towels and sheets jurying our stay which was refreshing. Pool was big and very clean with plenty lounges for there guests to relax and enjoy, bring your own beach towel or hire for a small fee. BBQ area very clean but we didn’t use it. The location was great easy excess in between cairns CBD and port douglas. 2 Shopping malls close by, Smithfield mall about ten minuet drive and the smaller one Clifton village which is not far. John was a lovely host,very organised. Sent emails of quotes,confirmations and also online check in. Overall I highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again. We absolutely loved our stay - it was perfect, comfortable bed, fans and AC, screens on all windows and doors, spacious, updated and well-maintained, very clean, fully equipped, gorgeous beachfront view and ocean walk, easily accessed covered parking, lift to upper floors, beautiful warm pool with lots of lounge chairs, easy late check-in! Highly recommend (5/5) and hope to return! Thank you John and Sheree for being so pleasant, accommodating with our arrival change and welcoming!!
