This older Hilton hotel is, on the whole, pretty standard—nothing particularly amazing, but no major downsides either. The exterior looks a bit dated, but the interior is maintained quite cleanly and tidily. The room size is moderate, the bed is comfortable, and all the basic amenities are available, including air conditioning, hot water, and free Wi-Fi. The staff are polite, attentive, and quite proactive in their service. Breakfast is decent, with average taste and no standout features. The hotel's location is fairly convenient, with good transport links nearby, and you can walk to some restaurants and convenience stores. Overall, for a short business trip or a stopover, this hotel can meet basic needs, but it's not suitable for guests looking for a high-quality or unique experience. Its biggest advantages are the nice view, quiet atmosphere, and reasonable value for money, making it a good fit for travelers with modest accommodation requirements.
Good hotel, great location. The breakfast staff in the morning were great and attentive. Always served us very well.
The reception and hosuekeeping staff need to improve their attentiveness. For example, we had to call housekeeping to remind them on several occasions as they hadn't turned up when they were supposed to, and inconsistent standard of housekeeping was also an issue. Secondly, the checkin staff didn't mention that for charges to be added to the room bill, a deposit was required. We weren't aware of this and were told by restaurant staff.
When we raised these complaints on checkout, they offered an apology and a free hot drink.
1) Came for check in at 5 pm but still room was not ready. The reason given was I did not mention smoking or non-smoking room.
2) The bathroom floor was extremely old style and very dirty.
3) The bath tub had foldable glass doors which never closed completely and water fell on the floor everytime had a bath.
4) Therebwere totally 4 table/bedside lamps. 1 was blinking and the other 2 bedside lamps had a switch which only the hotel employees could switch on and off
5) Carpet was very dirty at some places.
6) It appeared they purposely allotted this room as I had argued about the room not being ready even at 5.00 pm
7) No toothbrush or comb or paste in the bathroom.
8) Priced so expensive but quality was not worth the price.
This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Egypt! Even the cars entering the hotel grounds are checked by staff and sniffer dogs, which made me feel incredibly safe. The hot water for showering was plentiful and the water pressure was excellent! That's really important, and the room was very clean.
The room also had two large balconies with beautiful views of the Nile. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Don't go in winter if there's no heating; it was 10 degrees outside and 15 degrees inside. During my two-day stay, the first day the warm water was around 40 degrees. On the second day, after I kept urging them, they finally fixed it to just warm enough, but still not hot water. The decor looks like it's 15 years old. I came here because it said it opened in 2019. The service was indeed good, so I can't give a bad review for that. However, I spent two and a half hours over two days waiting for repairs and service. In summary, it's a five-star hotel with three-and-a-half-star facilities.
