El Farida Hotel

We stayed for one night. I really liked the hotel. It's cozy and clean. The room is small but newly renovated. There are plenty of outlets for charging phones. The blackout curtains and warm blankets were a nice touch. The bathroom has everything you need, including enough hangers for clothes and towels. The best part for us was breakfast; the chef made an omelet and crispy fries with falafel right in front of us, just as we requested. It was the first time in our week-long trip that we ate a meal that felt like home. Thank you!

This hotel is located in Cairo's Old City, very close to Tahrir Square in the city center—just a 5-minute walk to the city center and the Old Museum. Yet, it's tucked away in a small alley, offering a quiet oasis amidst the bustling city. The hotel itself is remarkably peaceful, without any of the noise typical of Old Cairo! The decor is relatively new, and although small, I loved it overall. It was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at in Cairo during my entire trip to Egypt. The breakfast was average, but overall, I highly recommend it!!!

This was a terrible hotel. I booked it because of the reviews saying it was conveniently located yet quiet despite being in a noisy area. The average price was over 600 RMB per night, which wasn't cheap, but the quality was about what you'd find in a 200 RMB hotel in China. I've never stayed in a hotel this bad in China. The safe was broken, the wardrobe doors were broken, and they didn't clean proactively (you had to leave the key at the front desk beforehand). They didn't even provide tea bags or cups. The sheets and blankets were so pilled they looked like they'd been used for twenty years. The worst part was that I booked it because it was supposed to be quiet despite being in a noisy area, but every night I fell asleep to the incessant barking of dogs and noise from upstairs and downstairs, and every morning I was woken up by the barking again without even setting an alarm. The front desk service was okay; two staff members were very enthusiastic when I checked in, offering to help with my luggage, but afterwards they were cold and indifferent, probably just trying to earn tips. That wasn't a big deal. Later, I went to Zamalek and the island, and those locations were quite convenient, actually better than this hotel's winding and inconvenient layout. Although they would definitely be more expensive, the experience would have been much better.

The location is great, quiet in a busy area, a five-minute walk from the museum and close to Liberation Square. The breakfast is good and the service is excellent. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

The room was newly decorated, but without the smell of renovations. The style resembles domestic designs, and it was very clean and hygienic. The pillows were very comfortable. There's an Italian restaurant in the alley downstairs, and there are many restaurants nearby. Transportation is convenient, making it easy to eat and play. The people here are very nice. I stayed there for one night and extended it for another. The broad bean soup and fried eggs at the rooftop restaurant for breakfast were both delicious.

The hotel lobby looked newly renovated, but we didn't actually check in because the hotel was overbooked; when we arrived around 6 PM, there were no rooms available. It seems others in the reviews had encountered similar situations, so it's best to check in early if you want to stay. The receptionist was nice and helped us find a larger room at another nearby hotel, so the experience was acceptable.
