Facilities: If you're comparing it to similar hotels in my home country, it's really bad. Don't expect much at all. Cleanliness: It's okay, that's just how Cairo is. Environment: Very noisy, and the room isn't soundproofed. All rooms have balconies, so you can clearly hear the sounds from downstairs. The religious ceremonies downstairs early in the morning were very loud. Service: I suggest Ctrip (or Trip.com) thoroughly check this room type, as I don't think it matched the room type I booked.

Location excellent, rooms spacious and luxurious. Wet areas require service and repairs.

This is my second time in Cairo and second time in Sofitel. For sure I can recommend this hotel.perfect location,very nice view,high level conditions.

The hotel is centrally located in a quiet area in Zamalek and easily accesible to all atttactions in Cairo. The hotel has aged and yet being maintained fairly.

The view was amazing, breakfast good and staff very friendly. Would stay there again.

No doubt the view is great, but it’s the hotel in Egypt, and the service is not worth the money.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been. I stayed in there for two nights. I enjoyed the Jacuzzi with my swim suit. After that I wanted to swim in swimming pool, the staffs said that my swim suit is made by cotton as underwear, so I could not swim there. I have shown the label (80% Nylon) to them and they asked me to take off my swim suit for double checking (I was nude and insulted in the dressing room). Moreover, their staffs challenged my Englishand took the photo of my swim suit without my permission. I claimed that I would make the complaint to their headquarter and they refused to provide their business card and name to me. I felt angry and their assistant manager, Mr Saad (the only one was willing to show his business card) could not help. I wonder why my swim suit could be used in Jacuzzi, but not swimming pool. Why they could take the photo on my swimming suit, insulted me (as I naked to them) and refused to take the responsibility. I felt very bad and angry. They have the excellent hardware and swimming pool, but you could not use it, why not choose other more user friendly hotel? If you want to have a great holiday, don't take this hotel, only disappointment left to you. If you want to spoil your vacation, this is excellent choice. Thank you.
