Situated in the heart of Foret de Compiegne and to an array of wildlife, including the magnificent Red Deer. Awaken each day to the sounds of the country. HISTORY First recorded in History books in 1381, the original Mill, now the Hunting Lodge, operated as a Textile Mill, built by the Priest of Saint Pierre en Chastres. Originally the estate had a total of four streams running directly through the grounds that rotated the large stone wheels. Remnants of these are still located within the gardens today. Our little Ru Vandy stream was once 4 meters long and was the main canal where boats used to travel along to deliver wood to the Mill and surrounding villages.

The Moulin Royale was everything we expected and more, much better that the web pages portray, the accommodation the grounds are all fantastic, the hosts were welcoming and accommodating, the rooms and communal areas were all very interesting with lots of very interesting and novel decorations and ornaments, we loved every minute and will be back to stay again highly reccomended, The local area was alsolovely especially Peirrefonds

We had the best experience here, and will without doubt be back. The Room was Devine, the attention to detail is amazing, the Host is full of information about the surrounding area and the history of the Chateaux. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had in France, and your bed linen is amazing! Thanks guys!

An amazingly beautiful and charming place. We loved the attention to detail in how the room was arranged - truly the work of someone with an artist’s eye. We also loved Moe who met us right away - hilarious, funny, charming … and he gave us a superb resto recommendation. Breakfast was wonderful too. We hope to return soon.

We stayed at Moulin Royale as part of our travels around France. This B&B is the best we have ever stayed in. The owners were warm, welcoming and helpful with great tips. The room was large and immaculate, with every accessory you could want. The furnishings are gorgeous. They even had a mini-bar with a great selection. The grounds are stunning, with little spots where you can sit and relax. We didn’t use the pool as it was too cold, but it looks terrific. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Mouline Royale is an absolutely exceptional guest house, and my family and I had the most wonderful experience staying there ahead of my and my fiance's wedding in August. Mohammed and Wade are both incredibly attentive, friendly and thoughtful and really made our stay extra special. The guest house itself is beautiful; the rooms are all absolutely gorgeous, the grounds are idyllic, and the salt water pool was glorious. To top everything off, Mohammed and Wade also made sure that we had everything we could possibly want in the lead up to the special day, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. I can't recommend Mouline Royale highly enough. We're already plotting our next trip back! Abi

This is 5*. We stayed for the second time this week, this time for our daughter's wedding. The accommodation is exceptional with fantastic hospitality from both Wade and Mohammed, who made everything perfect. Nothing is too much trouble, whether it's relaxing around the pool to our choice of music and champagne, the amazing picnic or the excellent breakfast, everything is just tremendous.

I have been meaning to write our review since we spent a few days at the wonderful Moulin Royale in early December last year. I / we could not have found a more relaxing and sensational boutique hotel, if we tried. We arrived late evening through electric gates to the most wonderful looking house. The owners were welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were fabulously decorated and very well furnished, and so clean. The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms were a touch of luxury, as was the breakfast / lounge area. Moulin Royale is within easy reach of Paris. We also headed for the local towns and villages to see the castles and experience the local culture. A great way to spend the weekend. We cannot wait to stay again. Maybe in spring or summer this time, if only to use the pool! Thank you Moulin Royale

We were just looking for a hotel for a stopover on our way back from Brittany and came across this unique beautiful hotel. Everything is very well maintained. We received a very warm welcome and our room left nothing to be desired. Selected accessories, appealing pictures, very well-stocked minibar, comfortable beds, fluffy bathrobes and much more. The breakfast, in particular, is unbeatable. Wonderfully set tables, the finest crockery, special drinking chocolates, high-quality teas, delicious pastries and pleasant music. I have to wonder if I have ever had a better breakfast anywhere. I don't think so. It was overwhelming and I will gladly return to this special place. Guests are pampered.
