Hotel Atolon & Kaafu Beach Club

The hotel is in the process of changing, previously it was known for live evening entertainment, this has stopped. It now has a Club Beach vibe, with sun beds (for day rent), not loungers and 'chill' beach music. Unfortunately the usual residents were not aware of this and the rental sun beds mostly go unused. This is a pity as they have a fantastic seaview location. Also the hotel has two blocks, the beachfront one has only about 15 rooms and of those 10-12 have frontal seaviews, the rear block is across the road. The buffet breakfast and evening food is excellent and the evening meals changes daily. The staff are good and attentive, the only issue we encountered was that the restaurant was really busy with the tables squashed close together and you also had to queue a while to get your food. This system wasn't relaxing and a bit of a free for all, could do with a rethink. The pool and sun area is relaxing! We liked our room even though a few residents said theirs were too minimalistic and a bit IKEAish! We enjoyed our stay and the relaxing evenings suited us. Thanks to all the staff.

Stayed last year and everything was wonderful. Food was great along with view from the rooms. Unfortunately wont be going back again if they have stopped evening entertainment. This was highlight of holiday and was done every night by proffesional acts in a wonderful setting

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel, we stayed last August and we loved it so we returned. However there was one big difference. This is a lovely hotel with friendly hardworking staff and it is spotlessly clean. It is a very simple hotel with nothing to do, so if you want activities that it's not the place. It has a nice pool, plenty of sunbeds and a decent gym(but hot).we had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was as good as it gets with absolutely everything you could want. We didn't have evening meal but by all accounts that is always nice. The hotel consists of 2 blocks one is the main building the other across the road, we asked for the main but got over the road. It's not a massive issue but a bit of a pain. The rooms are neat and tidy however there is loads of storage, we had 12 hangers ,2 draws and a shelf so pack hangers. The pool area is spotless with plenty of beds that overlook the sea. People do save the beds but if you don't want to you will still get one. Now for the difference. Last year the evening entertainment at the hotel was as good as I've seen on holiday, but this year it's gone. The stage area has been turned into a beach club which in my and most guests I spoke to doesn't work or fit. It never seemed busy and it's Cala Bona not ibiza it's a different client. But it's up to them, but from what I gathered from talking a lot of people came for the entertainment and probably won't come back. But if you've not been before and you want a chilled out holiday close to Cala Bona harbour then go to this hotel

Just returned from a ten day stay at Hotel Atolon. It didn't disappoint what a fabulous hotel, well located on the beach front. Beautiful pool and lounger area which we enjoyed. The breakfast choice was amazing such an array with freshly made omelettes, fruit, full cooked breakfast etc. Dinner was wow! Every evening a choice of al la carte meals - one evening there was delicious fresh sushi and every night had a different theme. All delicious with amazing staff and chefs. The rooms are good with memory foam mattresses which are really comfy. The cleaning staff will turn your room over daily and do a great job. Friendly and welcoming staff all round. Only one small niggle which was sorted on the second day with a drain smell in the bathroom. Will defo be going again soon ️️️️️ PS there is a Beach Club attached to the hotel which residents can access for €55 (for two) which includes beautiful lounger beds and your drinks and food for the day. The reception didn't tell us this so don't miss out.

Had a fabulous 7 nights bed and breakfast at this hotel, the location was great to the right is cala bona and to the left was Cala Millor plenty Restaurants on your doorstep lovely long promenade for a walk where you will find a great beach Cala Milor end, nice town with plenty of shops. The Hotel was small and friendly, beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in great pillows, lovely hot showers every day, breakfast was great plenty of choice, rooms were small and very clean. Would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. just one thing the block behind reception main door didn't lock and anyone could of walked in, needs looking at. Amazing week thank you Hotel Atolon and staff.

First views of the Hotel were encouraging with it's lovely sea view frontage and pool overlooking the sea. However the rooms were extremely disappointing. Apart from being extremely small with a lack of storage, there wasn't a scrap of colour in the room. Pretty soul - less and boring but spotlessly clean. As requested by email, there was a kettle and two cups in the room. A lot of things stayed in the case as there was nowhere to put things and the hanging space was small and not long enough for a dress. There was one bedside table with drawers and one small table the other side - why no drawers? But there was a safe in the room which was free. Also the rooms overlooking the side street opposite the hotel had all the comings and goings of deliveries and buses throughout the day usually starting about 6.00am or before, ending with the rubbish collection anywhere between 11.00pm and 2.00am in the morning. The food in the restaurant was very good. Not always hot, unless you queued for a freshly cooked meal, but lots of choice and varied. However, there were a lot of queues - the hotel was obviously full - and the food display was badly organised, often resulting in one queue getting in the way of another! Quite often the staff were disgruntled when they were asked for more plates, bowls, cups etc which kept running out. The swimming pool overlooking the sea was a fabulous setting and loungers were plentiful as long as you didn't want the front row. Towels were available for a refundable deposit. But the base beat of the all day long music could be heard all the way to the rooms on the other side of the walkway. There was also a lack of comfortable seating inside the hotel when the weather was windy or cooler, compared to the amount of people in the hotel and nowhere to sit in the bedrooms other than the bed and a high backed chair. No entertainment in the hotel at all. The reception staff were all helpful and very pleasant, however I wouldn't go back to this hotel.
