Globales Montemar

We went to Cala llonga for a week on 14/06/2025 and stayed at Globales Montemar. We had read mixed reviews about this hotel, too many steps etc. This is true there are a lot of steps but if this is a problem don't go there. The hotel was very clean with all staff working like a well oiled machine. We found the staff to be very friendly and always able to help. Our room was great with very comfy beds etc and awesome air conditioning. The food was incredible, being a vegetarian I was a bit worried but we were perfectly well catered for with incredible buffet food. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who doesn't mind steps. If you don't like steps go stay somewhere else instead of complaining.

Overall this hotel is great for two stars, My only complaint is the beds are really uncomfortable, that said everything else was just fine. I thought the food was excellent and would give it an extra star just for that. Some great live shows and lots to do, Set in a beautiful location with a great beach just down the road. Took my nine years old boy and he absolutely loved it. Special mention to Martha and Manuel the two entertainers who work tirelessly round the clock. Wrote a little poem for them. The two entertainers at globales montemar creating fun around the pool and the bar for children and adults it doesn't matter who you are everybody's equal everyone's on a pare, The two entertainers at globales montemar with hearts of gold they shine like the stars. My tip for people complaining about unfriendly staff like the lady at the snack bar is given them a tip and they will look after you. I wouldn't be a ray of sunshine if I had to work in a kitchen with 30 degree heat either. Thanks to all the staff.

We’re here now , Hotel is brilliant for a 2 star 😃. Sun loungers good to get before 8:30-9 👍🏻 Breakfast is great proper English sausages , beans ,scrambled n fried eggs, bacon , hash browns ( food is look warm ) but not a problem a microwave is handy if you want 7:30-10. Very quiet between 730-830 And also a lovely outdoor eating area in restaurant 👍🏻 Swimming pool is the best I’ve been ( being 6ft4”. It’s 7ft 5” in a big chunk of it ( another pool is knee high for kids Town is lovely 20 bars / restaurants Maddison’s n pirate bar ( €3 pint or wine ) Snack Bar is. Good. Burgers. Chips in a cone hot docks n toasties Bar during day is busy cause only 1 waiter ( self serve soft drinks would solve this ) All in all 5 days in and can’t fault it 8/10 and I’d deffo come back Entertainment is 50/50 last night Tuesday was Mongolian acrobats which was great

Avoid at all costs – infested, unhygienic, and utterly disgusting I booked a 3-night stay at Globales Montemar through Agoda in July 2025 and had to check out early because the conditions were absolutely appalling. First night, the room was full of ants, and we both woke up itchy. We assumed it was the heat at first, but by the next day it became clear we had been bitten by bedbugs. When we returned to the room that evening, we found bedbugs in the bed and TWO cockroaches crawling around. Absolutely vile. I reported it to reception and was eventually moved to a second room — at 1am. That room also had ants all over the floor, so we were moved again to a third room. The air conditioning in that room stopped working after 5 minutes. The only backup was a portable floor unit that needed the door to stay open, which is not secure or practical. We barely slept, sweating in 30°C heat, itchy from bedbug bites. We checked out the next morning, exhausted and disgusted. To make it worse, I’m still dealing with the bedbug bites even after returning home to the UK, and I now worry they’ve come back with us. In total, we saw three rooms, and all of them were infested, dirty, and completely unfit to stay in. This hotel has serious cleanliness and maintenance issues and clearly doesn't take pest control seriously. If you care at all about hygiene, your health, or being able to sleep at night, do not book this place. It completely ruined our holiday.

Don’t Not Go ! . I know this is a 2 star resort but I did expect some standard. Good point. The pool was good and Beds not a problem. Bad Points. Steps everywhere, poor quality food, they have one lady on griddle and when the meat is gone you wait for ages, one pizza at a time and people take 3 and 4 bits nothing left, tables don’t get cleaned and reset, you search for bowls and cutlery, The reception staff are rude and not bothered ( we arrived at 21.35 and told no food go into town (but there were people still eating) We asked for more pillows and toilet rolls (pillows arrived Friday but we checked in Monday and we asked every day ) Our Aircon leaked and it was reported but next sorted ( we had 2 towels on the floors changed daily, also it was dangerously slippy. Snak Bar was hit and his so go for chips she could mess them up and stay away from Chicken nuggets. I could go on. Jet2 we no help at all . We even go told on the Thursday by the cleaners you checking out today , We officially check out Friday (Reception useless again and just shrugged. Cockroach in rooms, very tired rooms need updating . Hand rail in shows comes off on your hand. I could go on "…………..
