We came to this hotel as a family of 6 last july-August in the middle of a very intense heatwave. The hotel is very beautiful, large and has been done up since our previous encounter 10 years prior. It's location is spot on in terms of the views (wow the views are just incredible.) Even though it's on the edge of a cliff it felt very safe. We came with 4 kids age 5-13. The kids club during the day was more for little little ones and not really above the age of 4 as my youngest found it a bit boring, colouring in and nothing very lively, it isn't well advertised and offered to parents much which could be really beneficial if done well. Each night there was a mini disco which the youngest loved. However, there was more singing shows on and cover singing acts on than there were shows for entertainment to entertain some of the older ones. It appears there is enough seats at night to watch the show but for the size of the hotel there isn't, and half the audience ended up trying to watch the shows on sun loungers. The bar staff work incredibly hard. I'd have loved to of said tho8gh to the manager, here let me show you his or her face because some of them were miserable, unfriendly and looked like they hated their jobs. The sun lounger situation is a nightmare. Okay I get it we are a family of 6 so that's a lot but we've paid for our spaces on holiday. We initially started coming down to the pool after breakfast, we'll there was absolutely nothing, nothing until about 2pm. Then I got wind off someone in the hotel that people go down around 4am or 5am to put towels down!!! And they do! Because I ended up being one of these annoying people adding to the problem but it simply is what you have to do to get a sun lounger. For 3 days I was so fed up we didn't have a single lounger! There isn't enough for the size of the hotel and the people they book in. I think it's really important to touch on the location of the hotel and what's around. There isn't a lot around going on in the area. It's a very quiet part of majorca and although there is a bus stop near by to take to go to places if your like us who love every now and again to step outside the hotel have a little wander then it's pretty soulless. They have tried, there's a small quarter with some family entertainment, mini golf, restaraunts which we ate at one or two nights. The steakhouse, oh made me realise how much I was missing garlic and flavor from the hotel! But yes it just feels like outside the hotel there is very little atmosphere and you don't have any old rustic charm or little town that's all lit up it's very commercialised what they do have outside the hotel, little souvenir shops just quiet. The food at the hotel was good but again did get repetitive. I wanted to say to the chefs please just give everything a Sprinkle of seasoning, stick some garlic on that meat. The meat all seemed so plain. You know when food just needs some OOMF about it. Very well presented, plenty of choice
