This place is absolutely terrible. Not only is there only one electrical outlet per room, but there was also no transformer readily available for me to charge my devices. This lack of convenience was highly frustrating and inconvenient. Additionally, the internet connectivity was nonexistent, making it nearly impossible to stay connected and get any work done. To make matters worse, the food at this place was absolutely horrible. I decided to order pad thai and calamari, along with a pina colada, but all of the above was subpar. The taste was disappointing, and the quality of the ingredients used was questionable. It was definitely not a pleasant dining experience. Furthermore, the showers and room conditions were completely unacceptable. The showers were either too hot or too cold, and the room itself was not well-maintained. The cleanliness was lacking, and the overall condition of the room left much to be desired. Additionally, the groundskeeping was terrible, with unkempt gardens and poorly maintained common areas. Despite all the negatives, the only positive aspect of this place was the staff. They were extremely friendly and accommodating, which was a small consolation in an otherwise disappointing experience. However, when I approached the ownership to address my concerns, they were too busy FaceTiming someone to give me their full attention. They did not have an answer for my concerns and didn't seem to care about addressing them. I don't usually take the time to review places I visit, but this experience was so bad that I felt compelled to warn potential travelers. The pictures that may be available online do not accurately reflect the true condition of the hotel. It is important for people to know the reality of what they are getting into before making a decision to stay here.

Lago de Oro is the best resort in Calatagan where I live and so we go to their restaurant for special celebrations. On this occasion, we were celebrating my partner's birthday but it was impossible to enjoy the dinner because a band was playing so loudly that we couldn't here each other across the table! Some background music can be very pleasant and the music played between the bands session was at a much more reasonable volume. Why is it that many venues think I want to be assaulted by loud music whilst I'm eating? The t-bone steak my partner had was very good but my chicken curry was poor. Overall average value for money.

I got the VIP suite which is located at the back part of the resort. The rooms are really nice and clean. There are housekeeping staff constantly cleaning the hallways all day. They are very courteous and kind too. There were lots of mosquitoes, and I dunno where they are coming from. The wakeboarding areas are saltwater and definitely does not have stagnant water. Bringing of food is not allowed, but the restaurant offers a wide variety of food. The asian dishes are hit and miss. However, their indian and mediterranean food are excellent. They also serve the best halo halo ever!!! The restaurant staff are very efficient. Serving of food and cleaning is fast. The breakfast may look expensive from the menu but the serving is really really big. The beach front is a bit small though. It is swimmable during the mornings. In the afternoon, the tide is usually low and lots and lots of starfish, seasnails and hermit crabs can be seen. Overalll I think this is a well managed resort because they can manage peak season very well. Everything about running this place from parking, checking in, housekeeping and serving meals runs smoothly in the busiest holiday.

Lago De Oro's location is convenient. It is accessible via Nasugbu and Batangas City-Lemery-Balayan (best option when its traffic in Tagaytay). All our stays so far are pleasant. The rooms are plain and old but still well-maintained. The room size is comfortable most especially for big groups. Our family would often come here for breakfast & dinner coz they have the best and authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern food! Sooo legit! All the staff are friendly and attentive most especially the waiters.

We were 32 persons (28 adults and 4 kids) for this great family reunion hosted by my sister who visited from Canada. Choosing Lago de Oro is the best decision we made because the place did not disappoint us. We booked 3 suites (Suites Prince Alain, Prince Albert, and Premier Family) and they're all on the same floor in their new building. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the toilet and bath huge and with sufficient hot water, we were all able to sleep soundly in our own assigned beds (nobody needed to sleep uncomfortably) because extra mattresses were provided, the bedsheet are crisp and clean, the towels are generous and the location perfect - all walking distance to the pool beach, restaurants and nearby wakeboarding area. The staff service are superb especially Ms Bea onsite operations, Kaye from reservations, F&B staff in the main restaurant, Housekeeping team and the wakeboard staff. The food very good but quite pricey - good for sharing though. No other restaurants nearby so no choice but dine in. Food if brought will have corkage fee - you are only allowed to bring light snacks. Overall, our stay was excellent! I hope service quality remains the same because we hope to come back again one day.

Visit on December 27, 2023 2 adults, 1 teenager, 1 infant I was worried after reading the Korean reviews while making the reservation BUT!! Highly recommended.. I recommend staying in the deluxe room. The food is expensive, but the taste and quantity are super delicious and good.. The facilities are honestly incomparable to good hotels, but... the water is good, the staff are friendly... the food. It was delicious. I loved the live band next to the pool in front of the sea in the evening. The wind was always blowing coolly. I learned how to wake up here and had a fun family trip. It would be a good idea to ask for a deluxe first floor room. Room 108. 30 steps to the swimming pool and restaurant ^^ Happy 2024, everyone.
