Castillo Playa

We have visited on many occasions and this place never disappoints. The accommodation is dated however has all you need and the ladies that clean are fabulous. The bar/cafe staff are all superb and food and drinks all at very reasonable prices. Perfect location for the beach and bars/restaurants.

These are great apartments. Location is excellent- near all amenities and the beach. They are clean with everything you need. Pool bar also sells 5L water for €2 to save carrying from the nearby shop. The pool is lovely and clean and not too busy. The ladies in the pool bar are fantastic and work so hard. For value for money these are ideal. If you want something a bit more modern or fancy probably not for you but if you’re happy with comfortable and clean then you can’t go wrong.

Stayed here for 9 nights. On arrival reception was closed but we were aware and informed that security would have our keys. When we arrived we were shown to our accommodation. The accommodation is showing lots of signs of wear and tear inside and outside the accommodation. The bungalows were cleaned and housekeeping staff very friendly. There are no real issues with the complex but there are cockroaches but these are all around the area and not because the hotel is dirty. To improve the accommodation I recommended new furniture and better sofa beds. About 3 min walk to beach and 4 min walk other way into town. This is a place I would be happy to return if the price is right

Have stayed here many times but never done a review. Each visit has been excellent. Love the fact that each bungalow has its own terrace with table and chairs and 2 sun beds. Bungalows clean and located near to all amenities. Had breakfast a few times at the poolside bar which was excellent value for money. Love to sit at the bar in the afternoon enjoying a few pints. Absolutely love this place, but you have to book well in advance as it gets booked up very quickly. Says it all.

Excellent stay again at the bungalows.Paid the extra money for a pool view.Room 709. Great place to stay.Staff,cleaners etc.all fantastic. 2 minute walk to the beach,in a great location.10 minute walk to atlantico shopping center and the best beach in my opinion.

Just got back from a two week stay here. We visit Caleta regularly and usually stay on the Puerta del sol complex, but as there were 8 of us in the group, we booked a package deal here and this was quite reasonably priced. What a gem this is, although a good 10 minute walk to our usual haunts there are plenty of restaurants and bars a short walk away, and 5 minutes to the beach. The rooms are basic and could do with updating, which I believe is in progress, they were cleaned daily and had the main English channels on the TV. The staff are extremely friendly, which seemed to rub off on the guests as everyone was more than happy to pass the time of day. ( a special shout out to Brian and Steve who were a right laugh even though they were Leeds fans 😉 ). The pool bar was great and really cheap for both food and drinks. the girls that work in there are hard working and good fun. Overall a great place to stay if you want a reasonably priced friendly holiday.
