We went to a music weekend, which started the season for this hotel. They were so friendly and helpful and are the main reason for my 5 star review. Our room was fine. The beds are on the firm side but still very comfortable. I had read reviews regarding vegan choices in the dining room and hoped we might be in for a treat. Unfortunately, this wasn't really the case. In typical helpful style, the waitress brought the Chef to us and he pointed to the dishes that were vegan. This consisted of salad, potato, rice, pasta, a paella that was vegan. There were plenty of desserts but none of them were pointed out as vegan, but over by the starters there was some fresh melon and pineapple. So don't expect anything made from tofu or seitan or vegan cream or vegan cheese or stuff like that. You won't starve, there is stuff to eat, it's just quite bland. At breakfast the non dairy milk wasn't labelled and when we asked they said it was lactose free but it took a bit to determine whether or not it was plant based.(it was) I would gladly stay here again but if I had a room only option I would take it and rely on Happy Cow recommendations for tastier food close by.
