Great location in the Bay of a small fisherman's village. The view from the breakfast terrace was beautiful. Service was friendly and easy going. Public parking is available around the corner of the hotel (free from 8 pm to 8 am). Rooms and bathrooms are rather small but for us it was sufficient. Rooms are very quiet as windows to the small street are very well isolated. During our stay there was construction ongoing in the Bay (May 2023) which didn't bother us as we had breakfast before it started.

Pleasant location with a view. Camara do Lobos has atmosphere, with restaurants and bars and nice views. I stayed in both PESTANA hotels over 4 nights, and this is the quieter one. Comfortable rooms. Daniel on reception is a first class ambassador for Pestana, and this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, Thankyou.

What a wonderful welcome. We are impressed. We arrived today and had the warmest and informative welcome from Ana Our room is well appointed albeit on the lower floor with beautiful bay views and lush foliage in the balcony. We are currently sitting outside listening to the buz of the village and the waves and watching the twinkling lights over the bay What more could anyone need ?

The Hotel is situated in a beautiful bay for a relaxing holiday in one of the quieter places on Madeira. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable, and all the staff were so friendly and always cheerful. In fact the staff were amazing, and made the stay at Pestana Churchill Bay so much more enjoyable, as they went out of their way to help you with anything.

We loved our stay here!! We spent 3 nights in Funchal and loved it, but it was extra special to be in the small town of Camara de Lobos and staying at the Pestana Churchill Bay. it was an easy taxi ride from Funchal. The staff at check in were great, so informative and friendly. They helped us get a tour organized for a few days later and we loved that too!! We enjoyed our welcome Madeira while waiting to finish check in. Our room was clean and so comfy! The bed and pillows were wonderful. After our tours and levada hikes we were so happy to sit on our second floor balcony and watch the waves and people go by. It was fun to watch the local people out and about in the mornings and at night. There are lots of delicious restaurants within walking distance and the restaurant at the hotel is also very good. The breakfasts are varied with lots of choices. It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and and waves. We really can;t say enough about how much we enjoyed staying here. I was worried we'd feel out of the way, but tons of people came for the day, but would miss the local feeling at night. If you can, it's definitely worth staying here, to feel a part of this beautiful island. We will definitely be back.

no doubt, the bay views and small fishing village are perfect! Take the second floor so you can see and hear the waves undisturbed by traffic and tourists. Enjoy the very varied breakfast from the terrace above with a view of the bay and sunrise. Here is also the pool area with enough sun chairs and umbrellas. In the picturesque bay there are enough small, good taverns and a coastal promenade lined with palm trees and azaleas. The service at the hotel is attentive and lovely; and if you stay a little longer there is even a nice vip surprise (see photo). What could be improved (for a good €200 p.d.): free parking, pool too cool with 18°, check of functions (fridge, locks, dispensers, if there are cushions on bf-chairs)

Went to madeira after a long time away It wasa couples break plus elderly relative Bed and breakfast wad option Good location on the bay The council were doing seawall repairs when went but wre notified prior to travelling It was 2 story and we were ground floor - first would be better Staff excellent Hire care sorted for us by staff Plenty of local eateries - Good called and quality

Excellent location directly overlooking the bay with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious and well equipped and spotlessly clean. Nice rooftop area with the restaurant where breakfast is served and a small pool good for cooling off and even some exercise if not too many people in it, also plenty of sunbeams. Very friendly and helpful staff, I'd highly recommend this place.
