Do not stay here. Smelly damp stank of wee.
Run down and expect to be rinsed at any opportunity £15.00 deposit £18.00 parking and a spec not unlike a dated ibis.

Comfortable enough and clean, but decor is old and tired. Showers can be tricky and single rooms small ('hit and miss'). Quiet and has a restaurant, which is convenient, although the menu is limited, but adequate. Basic Continental-style breakfast included, but not available before 7 am.

The location of the Hotel is beautiful as it’s opposite to the River Cam. Other than that, everything else is decent. Can’t comment on room service, as the phone in the room was disconnected which was very disappointing. The cleanliness was fine. The bathroom was decent as well. The hotel overall has a very vintage style so depends on your preference. Don’t expect much from the “complimentary” breakfast.

The real room we checked in are totally different from the pictures shown on website, esply the small window. Plus, their breakfast is soo simple with only a few dishes. You need to pay for others dishes.

All is good but it is outrageous that by booking on trip I have to pay £18 for parking when if I book directly with the hotel parking is free
A lesson learned book directly trip will never tell you this as other agents do

Excellent location, limited items in the breakfast, parking is very expensive if you book through trip.com or booking.bom (free if direct through the hotel), however price was slightly less through the trip.com. No lift (unfortunately I had injured ankle and suffered a lot to get up and down the stairs, the reception guy helped me out with luggages - Thanks Sayed)
Room is cozy, single bed, mattress is comfortable, carpets are sooo old, bathroom is old style but can do the job.

Difficult check-in at reception, only one person there during an obvious busy time and took ages. Dirty room, stains on the carpet . Hotel generally a bit ‘tired’ and facilities quite basic. The breakfast choice was quite limited and the cost for a full English breakfast too high.

Was visiting a relative so needed a convenient place. My priority is cleanliness. Am coming from Asia / Tropics so was apprehensive over heat and non-aircon. Room was a bit warm but it cools at night esp if you leave window open. I had a handheld fan which served my purpose - I had it on the whole night to cool me. My room was on 3rd floor so it meant I had to climb 2 flights of steps each time I went up. With heavy luggage, this cld be a problem. The room was otherwise, clean, quaint and comfortable. Some may say small & old but that I didn’t mind. Small window overlooking the river and park - nice. Bathroom was small and shower if you are big, you won’t fit in. Otherwise clean. Surprised they provided daily breakfast which was simple but sufficient. Location is 10 mins walk from the city center. I walked to the train stn - that took me 40 mins. I love walking so enjoyed the walks to town and the open country (following the river away from the town centre). I stayed 2 nights; 1st ~ 56 quid and 2nd nite ~75 quid. Great value.

Amazing

Great location, very easy to get about to the restaurants and sights in central Cambridge or to take a pleasant walk along the river. It was a baking hot day so not having air conditioning was a bit sweaty, though I knew that and it was clearly stated when booking - raised ground floor window opened directly onto fire escape which made leaving it open through the night unfortunately. Room was clean and bed very comfortable, despite the heat I slept well. Kettle in room for making tea and a useful safe in the wardrobe. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast but most adequate and the offerings good. Only negative was tea was served in a flask - hot water and teabags so one can brew tea to ones preferred strength would have been appreciated.

The breakfast options are very limited, and the hotel has no elevator. Staying on higher floors means you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself, which is tiring. It's about a 15-minute walk to the city center.
