Brit Hotel Alghotel

I just read the review of SEBBEST72 who went to this establishment in February 2023 with a wonderbox. I had the same experience there with a wonderbox! Moral, if you have a wonderbox: do not go to this establishment!!

We took a room for 2 nights with breakfast included, 30-minute access to the sauna and 2 small glasses of cider, via Wonderbox. When booking (August 2023), apart from the fact that the sauna was under repair (at that time), we were not told that we would not have access to it. So we arrive at the hotel, when collecting the keys, a cold welcome, then we are told that access to the sauna is no longer included in the Wonderbox offer, but that instead, there is a 10% discount on treatments, which is no longer the same thing at all. Basically instead of having free sauna access (20€), we are given a discount of 2€ and 18€ to pay. Obviously we are unhappy, but we go to our room anyway. There, very small room, with a dead insect on the floor which remained there throughout the stay and which is certainly still there. Despite the passage of the household. For our part, we immediately contacted Wonderbox to express our dissatisfaction and they made a commercial gesture. But we don't find this normal either. We therefore return to reception to express our dissatisfaction and explain that, commercially speaking, a commercial gesture would have been the minimum. There, change of scenery, we come across a haughty manager who explains to us that the contract has been renegotiated and that Wonderbox customers have nothing to complain about, because they don't pay the same thing. So, we still asked for our cup of cider, which if we hadn't asked for it, we wouldn't have had it. Obviously, on the first day, we were very disappointed and feared the rest. On Wednesday, another person at reception, big difference, very friendly person and nothing to do with the other 2. Decent breakfast. The sequel went well, but we don't recommend it. Because Wonderbox customers are not considered at all like other customers.

A night of passage on our way to Brittany. The hotel is very well equipped and well decorated. the rooms are functional and well equipped. The bathroom in our room is poorly designed with a shower that splashes onto the floor making it unsafe. The toilet is also too close to the wall which must be a design error. the service and reception is friendly and helpful. the breakfast is generous, well stocked and varied with good products. The value for money may be a little tight but remains correct. We have not tested the SPA. The location of the hotel is correct but not within walking distance of the center for less young people. The parking is appreciable for the very tourist destination of Cancale. A good address for a stopover or maximum 2-3 nights. There is no bar or alternative way to get drinks after reception closes (which is way too early).

Top-notch welcome, impeccable premises everywhere you go, room, breakfast room, spa, reception…and what’s more, always a pleasant smell…and tastefully decorated! Ideal place for a stopover or a stay

With its old appearance, this hotel could do with a good bit of exterior and interior renovation compared to some hotel chains of the same style. The welcome was good. The room was ok, the bedding was perfect. The shower room was a bit narrow. The breakfast was generous. The price of €87 is not worth a 3 star. For one night, passable. The spa and relaxation service needs to be reviewed, you can hear people talking about the reception, the same facility needs to be reviewed.
