Beautiful property, amazingly located, the views and the beach are magical. The beds "really" need an update. Restaurants and restrooms throughout the resort are not conveniently located. Extremely far from the pools, bars and beach areas. The staff is amazing, they are friendly, attentive and really make a difference. Food at the buffet is Excellent. The food in the Sports bar needs improvement, the nacho cheese sauce is terrible. Nice Resort!

When we checke in. We got a complimentary upgrade to the Riu palace peninsula, this was a great hotel that offered fun things to do for children and well as adult entertainment. Would definitely recommend staying at the peninsula

My personal items were stolen 2 times while I was staying there including my new iPhone 15 pro max. The hotel staff didn’t do anything about it.

There are several Riu properties in the area and while Riu Palace gives you access to all of them, it seems as though Riu Cancun was the best. My friends staying at Riu Palace said it was much more mature (i.e. reading books by the pool, quiet nights in, fewer young adults). Riu Caribe hosts pool parties all Riu guest can attend, but it's quite a bit away from the Cancun, non-resort night-life and shops. If you're looking to party, eat good food, have some entertainment for people of ALL ages, and be only a 10 minute walk from the Cancun nightlife, this is the hotel to choose!

Love the ambience, the entertainment team was fabulous- shout out to Mariana and Santiago! The dinning options were great needed some seasoning here and there but overall pretty good. Reception was very welcoming as well however, the only downside is made over over by half of the hotel crew is that they tend to overtreat the people that look white/caucasian. Mistreating the rest of the visitors just by their Hispanic looks. It’s so noticeable it’s degrading to the point were it kills the ambiance you had at the beginning of your arrival. Like I said it’s probably HALF OF THE CREW that does this, where they think a tip of $1 dollar is more than an actual tip of $20 pesos having in mind the rate exchange that it’s as of now $1dollar=$16 pesos.
Even when you tip in pesos they throw shade at you wish again this reactions make the visitors feel very uncomfortable and really an unnecessary expression towards the Hispanic VISITORS.
Other than prrety solid 4 starts.
