Never write reviews. I can't help it today. When I entered the room. There is a very big smell of paint and there is also the hair left by a guest on the bed. I called the front desk 3 times and asked to change rooms. I waited for fifty minutes. Every time the front desk will say that someone will come to help me. But no one has come. I went to the front desk myself to get the key to the new room. It was found that the key to the new room was not available. I went to the front desk again to get the key. Came to the new room. It was found that there was still hair left by a guest on the bed. The door on the balcony couldn't be opened either. This is the worst hotel I have ever encountered. I think Home Inn is better than this hotel. I forgot to take the picture. But every sentence is true.

The location was ideal, the beach was beautiful and there were always chairs and parasols available. The service could be a little slow, but that is expected for a large resort. The food was not always great, although it was never bad, but we had some average meals. The rooms are large and well appointed, I loved having a washer dryer and full size kitchen. We will definitely be back.

unfortunately due to our late arrival, we did not receive the ocean view room we paid for but instead the last available room on the backside of the resort with a view of the storage shed etc..after working extremely hard, I wanted to spend a romantic few days with my boyfriend without any distractions.
Management were nice and offered a refund, however pointed out to me that this is a timeshare resort and as it was the holidays, timeshare owners took priority.
I found it odd that I could even book a timeshare resort if this is the case. I also didn't particularly realize that this was a timeshare resort or I would not have booked as I prefer a hotel.
After a couple of other issues, we returned home the next day and spent the remainder of our vacation at our own homes.
I would say it has also left a bad taste for booking via this platform in the future.

The pools were the most amazing I’ve ever seen. Service was excellent as well, particularly Manuel at the Duna sports bar.
The only negative was finding available chairs by the pool, and being pressured to buy a timeshare.

Prime location on the hotel *****, very nice beach, very clean, well maintained property with 3 pools. Very clean. Friendly, attentive staff. Very family friendly resort.
Took off 1 star for staff & service because of dining (I’d rate everything else 5 star, and dining 3 star). I stayed at this property twice, once in 2016 and once in 2023. Food services have definitely gone downhill. From the menu at the 3 restaurants, to the food quality, to the wait staff/ time, everything was disappointing. I may try another resort in Cancun next time because of this, though I really like the property and the beach.

Please consider my eval as it will influence "As an influential blogger in the travel sphere, I recently spent a week at the stunning Westin Lagunamar. My experience here has me seriously considering it "top choice" for organizing a vacation group of 10- 15 Ukrainian citizens in the coming year.
The resort itself is a breathtaking haven, offering unparalleled experiences and amenities that captivate the senses. However, during my stay, I did encounter a couple of hiccups that I believe need attention. Firstly, during the off-season, the temperature of the spas and hot tubs seemed a bit cooler than expected, which somewhat deterred our inclination to fully indulge in the resort's pool areas. Warmer water temperatures would certainly encourage guests to spend more time relaxing in these areas, especially during quieter travel seasons.
Secondly, there was an unexpected disruption to the tranquility of the night due to the loud cleaning of the BBQs in front of building 300. As someone who enjoys the Caribbean breeze while sleeping with the sliding glass door open, the noise during the 1 am and 4 am cleaning sessions was quite bothersome.
Despite these inconveniences, my overall experience at Westin Lagunamar was exceptional. The stunning ambiance, attentive staff, and luxurious amenities truly make it a destination for a lifetime vacation. I hope these comments can contribute to further improving an already fantastic resort experience,, Ray and Farida Hanoski

Beautiful property and location. This area is away from the busy part of Cancun, but you can easily take the bus anywhere for just a dollar per ride. It’s quiet, nice, calm and the water on this side is so blue and beautiful. The resort was nice, shower water sometimes didn’t stay in between, it would either be to hot or to cold.. it has great amenities and ocean views.. lastly the food there isn’t the best. You may want to explore out of the resort for better cheaper food. It would be nice to eat Mexican food while in Mexico. If I want American food, I’d stay in the US. Overall great resort and most importantly the location and excellent staff.
