Hôtel Kadiandoumagne ★★★

📍 HPQG+968, Rue de Commerce, Ziguinchor

"Very pleasant hotel on the river bank with large, well-kept gardens and comfortable rooms. The restaurant area, almost all outdoors, is set up with a very African taste and has a beautiful atmosphere. Breakfast was good although it took a long time to serve us."

Tamba Kuruba Eco-Lodge ★★

📍 464M+VM, Kartong, Kombo South

"What a lovely place. I cannot recommend highly enough. We were a small group working with a local high school and we felt truly welcomed like family here. A tranquil location operated by a warm local family. Tamba Kuruba will always have a place in my heart."

Nemasu Eco-Lodge

Nemasu Eco-Lodge ★★★

📍 Madina Salam, Kombo South

"I am a regular day visitor to Namasu. The beach is fabulous and the hotel so welcoming and relaxed. But my trip to day was really enhanced by a massage. This took place in a rooftop massage space, surrounded by trees, so wonderfully airy. Ya Ya was experienced and confident and gave me a great massage. Thank you"

Sandele Eco Retreat

Sandele Eco Retreat ★★★

📍 Gunjur to Kartong Main Road, Kombo South

"Looks like Chernobyl. Abandoned and overgrown by the bush. Interesting for wildlife, though: I spotted a 1-meter-long giant lizard there. Faded glory. If you want to visit the site, it's best to bring pruning shears or a machete to clear a path through the thorny bushes."

"Run away as fast as you can! This hotel is run by thieves who rip off their guests. A real tourist trap!"

Hôtel Kadiandoumagne ★★★
"Stayed two non-consecutive nights on a tour. Attractive property located on the river. Reasonably quiet. Small, clean room with desk area and sufficient number of power jacks. No electric kettle. The mini-fridge didn't work. Comfortable bed (with mosquito nets) and pillows. Shower with good water pressure but very slow draining. Good wifi. Breakfast buffet with good selection, including yogurt, cheese, cereal, fruit. The staff speaks minimal English, which is the norm in Senegal."

Nemasu Eco-Lodge ★★★
"We were picked up at the airport at a very early hour and had lost bags so our poor driver had to wait ages but he did not complain, we arrived in the dark but woke to monkeys running in front of our room, what an amazing sight! Great breakfast and food, the beach is sandy and the sea is warm. You can walk along the beach to the Mosque and fishing village nearby, we also visited the local school and local villages just a few minutes away. Sadly we were the only residents as it was low season, but we were well attended by Sidi, Fatu, Max and Dawter at Nemasu, we even had a tour of the local town, market and the owners home garden ! The rooms are basic but comfortable and views are amazing"
